I did it on my drive, cut the center of the old bush out (the rubber part). I used a sharp chisel, hammer and lube so that the chisel didnt get stuck in the rubber bush.
Then cut a slot in the steel outer, i used a hacksaw.
Then just hit with hammer.

Year's ago the company I was working for repaired an M3 the bill came to £14.5k
The car wasn't that new but they still payed out. The owner lost it on the ice and did lots of damage even had to buy a new set of wheels from BM.
No i dont follow the crowd, i do everything myself. But if i was not able then yes it would go to a specialist who has the correct locking tools and knows what they are doing.
Do KF own the correct locking tools? Have you asked this question?
I think you should.
If they where to do the job and replace the pump then the cooling system should be re filled with anti freeze anyway.
Please please get Mick to do it, KF will fcuk it up big time.
Ive had mine done but the Ph1 port's are alot smaller than the ph2.
The RS lower is better but there is still room for improvement.
Every little helps as they say.
