Cheers mate. Its been a nice easy bit of spannering this one, simply replace knackered parts and should be good for loads of use now. It drives excellent on new map, mid 30s mpg on the street. Id say this is the perfect level of mods for a meg2. Nothing too extreme, goes well and handles great.

Yep uch, ecu and key thats all you need. Id try the trophy one but dont have the oem ecu as its on standalone. I do have another ecu set somewhere but that had issues from memory.

Give the engine cover a spruce up today with some silver wheel paint and new stickers. Quick rub over with scotchbrite and panel wipe down then blast over. Turned out OK. Before During After Thanks for reading!!

Uch issues are generally dry solder joints in the board so you wont see much unless stripping it down and looking on the circuit board carefully. Send it off to diesel pump repairs and he will check it over and sort any issues...

I have yaw sensor unplugged on my trophy to disable asr and have turned off the asr light on the dash with clip. Abs light extinguishes as normal.

Them boots look like they are for the hydraulic rack with the larger inner. I cant remember the part number but i found some that fitted ok, even if slightly smaller they will go on. These will work ok going by the size. The rubber is soft will stretch on fine...

The fasteners arent too bad, was just the monkey that had been there before sadly. Luckily have a load of used ones so made a set up. Engine bay sound deadening is about shagged on it. Needs replacing really but i dont think its possible to find a good used one.

Regarding rack boots, febi make half decent quality ones. Sizing is a minefield however

Ive had covers on my Ast's from new, and still looking mint when i recently had a look in. Not used in winter however but wet use in summer.

Should be around high 13s/low 14v with engine running. Alternator dead or wiring issue at a guess, check positive wire ring terminal has not broken off where it connects to the alternator.
