Throttle body gasket was leaking on the Kangoo resulting in a screeching sound on idle and on boost, noticed it develop intermittently after Anglesey/CSF last year but it had started to get bad when used recently.
Performance was down and found the leak via smoke test.
Ive never been...
Small update.
A while ago i reamed out the selector bush back to 10mm to stop the famous megane stiff shifter issue. Its caused no issues on the street but was starting to stick with heatsoak after several laps of Croft making me miss 4th and hit 6th gear etc, luckily it sticks to drivers side...
Id be careful booting it before map, fuelling might be very lean, or ecu could be limiting it to stop it boosting to the moon.
Check for boost leaks before mapping.
Updates
Washed the r26 yesterday as it looked a right state after Croft. Front was peppered with flies and rubber marks all over the sills/lower doors.
Scrubs up ok.
Changed the oil and filter for fresh again today, took advantage of some free lift time when my mates garage is quiet. Oil...
Its still running, id reset the timing and if running ok comp test it. If all checks out, prob got away with it.
My only worry would be has it weakened the valves with them lightly kissing the pistons.
Worth doing the steering rack bushes whilst in the area assuming its on oem rack. I have powerflex ones on mine, no idea if oem still available.
Id say you have the rest covered ok though. Itll drive loads better with fresh suspension and steering parts on.
Small update.
Treated it to a retrimmed steering wheel as the original R26 wheel was past its best.
Had it trimmed in smooth nappa leather top and bottom, perforated nappa leather sides finished off with oem Lamborghini nappa leather yellow marker and yellow stitching.
All done by...
Sack off the emerald ecu for another standalone that can talk to the clio canbus system.
I use Ecumaster black and stock dash works fine, i believe maxxecu and link also work.
Done well getting the rears glowing!
I use Ds1.11 in the meg. Can hot lap for ages no fade and consistent pedal feel, with the added bonus of decent stopping power from cold on the street. I believe dsuno are also very good albeit dont last as long.
Indeed mate would have ended up nasty if it had let go mid corner!
Good to meet you too mate. I was going to swap them for fresh ar1 on sunday too, lessons learned never trust old tyres.
100% mate its russian roulette once tyre is getting on.
Your welcome mate. Your clio was going great, i...

With the decent weather finally here, fitted the technomagnesio wheels with yoko a048 for Croft.
On the Makro run to test.
Turn in on semi slicks compared to pilotsport5 is immense. Steering feels direct but on the negative side, less comfort and more noise.
Monday comes and get to...

As @Mr Underhill said above get the lance in. Id whip rear doorcards and blast it in on the rear arch seams and sill.
Dont forget to put some cardboard or whatever underneath the sill as the cavity wax will run out of any small gap onto the floor.
Done my Trophy a couple of years ago.
Updates.
Got a set of Ferodo Ds1.11 pads for the front so fitted them on Sunday morning.
Ten min pad change.
Whilst in the area i greased the lower swivels on the perfo hubs via the grease bolts. These are an essential mod for mk2 meg to keep the swivel bearings right, do it once a year and...
If discs still look good and pads have a decent amount on, might just need a deglaze to remove pad deposits. Try 70-30mph hard breaking x3 times basically get the brakes smoking. Let them cool and see if any better.
If discs are worn/lipped and pads about done, brembo hc discs and stock brembo...
