To be fair, it doesn't make a massive difference. Mine felt quicker before the map but was very lumpy when cold, which the map has improved a lot. Has the cold idle raised to 1100rpm and then drop to 1000?

yeah, generally. Mainly when your going to do a right or left turn and you drop it down to 2nd to do so. I'm not talking for 80mph in 3rd down to second. Im talking 40 down to say 20-30.

ive spent about £300 in 5 years on the Honda crv. 180k now and barely serviced as its just for down the yard so don't really care if it blows up. (with the mrs inside, obviously)

yeah, that's the one. I will get it on the ramp and have a look. have checked quite a lot of things and its not anything obvious falling off. Is more annoying than worrying.
