Taken from the F30 Forum. Last night I was heading back from Germany and had a minicam in the car. Pulled up after a toll booth, grabbed it out of boot and stuck it to side. Car had just under half a tank of French Esso and I had about 30kgs of camera equipment in the boot. Temp was 5 degrees...

Sadly not. As I'd love one. I asked if they would fit the 63l tank the petrol models gets but it was a no go.

I have one huge issue with this car. It only has a 50l tank, so total range is less than 500 miles which isn't good enough really.

Not a fan of the M performance skirts on that one, the diffuser looks good though!

I've driven it across a muddy field and not got stuck. So it earned it's keep then.

I was just jesting. No harm done! It has some pace of an M car but it's a long way from one.

Depends how you drive it. In gear has a lot of pull. Pin in it and use all the rev range and it doesn't actually feel quick, but it is. With the new ZF auto it just feels like it's one long gear.

God I hate that one. Why my Dad has so much light green put on it I'll never know.

Bar the tiny rattle on start up, if you didn't have a rev counter you'd be hard pushed to tell the difference between a 335i and a 335d now.

Around 100kg. 60:40 split biased to the rear normally. Can go to 90:10 either way.

You missed Ali's point of it being too close to an M car.

Its not bone stock if it has a black front badge, no rear badges, black wheels and is 2" lower than it should be. Standard is 100% better

Some people demand RWD and hate diesel.

They've not updated that engine for ages really. Could have given it the 135i headline figure of 315bhp though. The 330d and the 335d and the 550d engines have all had the new style turbos fitted though.

The RS6 makes me sad inside.

It is an odd one. I bet this isn't too far off an E90 M3 on the road. I can only assume the new M3 will be a fair bit quicker. Its also the first time that the range topping power output of an none ///M has come from a Diesel. 335i = 306bhp. 335d = 313bhp.

Zero difference in pace between this and my mates RS3.

As it stands today. 1000 miles on the clock and returning 40.9mpg.

Why all the castor?

The new 330d and 335d engines seem to be a bit more efficient than the older ones.

The silver one is the red one. Both cerb speed 12's. There were three speed 12 race cars and the concept car.
