if you have modding in your system you will mod any car, i bought the dci to have a nice standard car to cruise about in while having a modified car, ive spent more on that than ive spent on my 172 so far lol

your a clown, their is a lot more to an engine than "only 10bhp more"
the 138 2.0 16v wasnt designed to be a high reving hot hatch engine, it was designed to be something resonably quick with a nice amount of torque while still being decent enough on fuel which it does extremely well.
price sounds resonable, to be fair id rather get a head rebuild on what was a perfectly good engine even at £1200 than stick a cheap £500 engine in it + a new cam and aux belt kit on top of that + fitting for something that you have no service history for when it comes to selling.

i nearly smashed the dci that night too when i got brake fade coming up to a tight bend with cheap tyres at the time lol just had to throw her in mash the throttle and hope for the best lol
why wouldnt a garage be competent to change a sump, just because its scotland doesnt mean we only know how to repair horse and kart lol
anyway, sump and probably an hours labour, not to expensive assuming theirs no engine damage
got a black 172 that is swirled to bits! im going to do it on wednesday when im off.
ive got a pc polisher but not used it in years so need everything recomended to me pads the lot!
just give me a list from start to finish, clothes, wash mitt everything lol ideally dont want to spend over...
that will probably be a ph3 unless its late registered, my 100 is a ph3 and was registered then.

anyway, to the op, is that axel stand on the jacking point, ull just bend them to f**k doing that, put it on the big cross member that runs the length of the car

someone will be able to check if they use different part numbers than the cup but i remember being told at the time that it was just normal cup rear suspension

it looks just like any normal 172 with black wheels there, but in reality its probably one of the quickest N/A ones running the standard throttle body about!
lol sold it 3 years ago! and how did you count lol it launches at 2 seconds and hits 65mph indicated (lets say thats 60 odd gps) at 13 so probably somewhere between 10 and 11 seconds, was RR'd at 85bhp and stripped out!
