leave it to idle for 30sec-1minute before turning it off, this is everytime otherwise you'll feck the turbo. and same mwith starting it up, let the oil get around it before moving so 30sec idling.
the blue ones are higher pressure, and stop localised boiling inside the head. most people loose the caps, and replace them with the brown ones as they are cheaper.
yea thats fine, Turn the engine twice and make sure its all lined up, the marks on the belt WILL NOT line up after the engine has turned, just make sure all the other marks do.
and it had a few car park dents whish i wasnt happy with! just had a new gearbox as the diff circlip popped, 2 new driveshafts, new cambelt and tensioners 50 odd miles ago. Everyone who has seen thbis car comments on how sweet the engine is running, starts 1st everytime with no miss fires etc.
as i repaired the rear arch from a rust bubble, and i didnt want to touch it up, so to make it clean as a whistle, and respray it fully. Its going to be Jet black.
i will be selling a ph1 in about 2 weeks, 80k, mint interior, no knocks or rattles, 3k's in receipts, mot in nov, scorpion stainless, and a k+n.Respraying it this week.
Re: valver porblems
1.it may have a low temp stat, or it may just cool very effeciently.
2.could be torque steer, does it switch sides on a slight turn of the wheel?
3.new switch.
4.the leak will be from the oil pressure sender, try tighteneing it!
