You'll be gouing faster than indicated with the tyres. But, some valvers are dog slow others are really quick, my 19's 1st engine would pull to the limiter in 5th(147mph), and do 6.7 0-60's but the second engine would only do 130 if it was downhill!

iirc the spacings are 54mm on the 172 and 58mm on the 182, so a file, and open the bolt spacing up.

Or pull off the dizzy cap, see if its moving.

so turning over, ticking over means its running. Pull the rocker cover off. see if the cams are moving when you turn it over.

i doubt its the cam, more likely the followers. and all they'll need is adjustment

Rebuilding my 19 16v engine, then when thats on the road, the 172 will go.

gaskets i'll get from gsf, as they are usually oe parts anyway. Cant find rings or bearings anywhere tho

not if he was driving and the belt snapped, if it snapped when he turned it over, then yes it will do damage, but as the engine will be turning, the cams stop, but the bottom end will keep turning, so tbh any damage would have already been done.

I drove my mums 1.0 micra for 2-3 days whilst getting its mot done, i loved 'trying' to take rounabouts as it felt like it was going to fall over LOL
