my 1.2 16v flew past 145k miles no problem, never had one single problem with it all that had been changed was coil pack and clutch. if the cambelt hadnt gone it wud probably still be going now!

its hard to notice a difference only time i notice it is pulling out a junction close to my house, it feels a bit flat if i go for a gap but next junction just down the road its fine!

no need to remove the front bumper i done it on axel stands. mine had the wiring (remove the passengers side fog light cover and you'll see if its there) but mine had the basic UCH so didnt work even with the wiring and new stalk. luck of the draw you might be ok might not.

millage is irelevent its how its been driven and looked after, cars that have been driven hard are not a problem, its the ones that have been abused to watch out for. you can usually tell with a quick drive. as for 172 vs 1.2, i get 40 miles LESS to a FULL tank of petrol that i got with my 1.2...

i wouldnt pay someone £3,000 to convert a car when you can buy the real deal for £3,000 anyway!!! conversions only worth it if your doing it yourself!
