check your fuses in the fuse box, my imobiliser fuse blew and had the same thing, weird buzzing noise from the dials, the needles were vibrating. tried bumpstarting it a couple of times because i thought it was a flat battery and no luck, checked the fuse box and bingo
if you look at the bit where it meets the dash in the pics above they look identical, evil john has 172 leather in his phase 1 so might be worth finding out if he has MK1 172 or MK2 172 doorcards in his.
you could always go for a full phase 2 dash which is a lot better looking and would match...
that sounds like a plan because the system will likely be going into my next car.
sorry to be a pain but any links or pictures so i get a rough idea what im looking for ?
cheers
door cills, plastic at the sides of the parcel shelf and plastic part at the inside part of the wing mirrors are getting changed for dark parts, bottom dash should be done eventually and a dark coloured parcel shelf (juts gona swap my mums, she wont notice LOL)
cheers mate!
the main part i wanted to change more than anything was the front seats, i hadnt really noticed how horrible the cream doorcards etc were and the front seats are the only parts not in yet!
got myself a set of 3 way Pioneer E-Motion speakers for £30 on ebay to turn on when ive got rear passengers in the car and was just wondering how to go about wiring them up because i know the clio uses a plug connector thing and im not sure how the new speakers connect as ive not got them yet...
LOL yep can imagine it being quite a capable little car on coilovers when it comes to twisties
is it not you that has the induction kit, exhaust and viper on their 1.6 too?
be ready for some members writing you an essay because u removed the turinis! but i think the wheels look quite good, any engine mods done? oh and welcome to cliosport!
think cars only had to be fitted with cats from about K reg, so thats maby why early ones were faster?
guy i know has one stripped with buckets and a couple of mods (inc. a Vtec controler what ever that does?!) ive never been in it but ment to be fukin rapid!
theres no point in putting bigger wheels on to get more top end as you will loose acceleration by doing this so will make you slower overall on a track, wont handle as well eather.
(i know diesels have a lot more torque which might mean bigger wheels have less effect on acceleration tho?)
ive got a -60mm apex kit as you know mate and the ride is very harsh so i cant see changing the dampers making *that* much of a difference. would it not make it even harsher?
koni adjustables or apex like has already been said :)
