No, don't use a used one or an aftermarket one. Get one from Renault Wolverhampton on here/your local Renault dealer. I used one from GSF which seemed decent enough. Made the problem worse... a genuine fixed it and it's been fine ever since.

Yes. It comes off with the plastic bit below it, they're all attatched. You need to follow the instruction sheed I posted exactly.

The shiny bits you can see at 5-6 o'clock on the hole are actually chips out of the metal where it looks like someone has had a hard time removing the cap (not sure how - it's plastic). Out of interest, if coolant has gone down into the hole... where has it ended up?

Phew! Thanks lads. I'll still look at getting a cap on it as I'm sure that there's one supposed to be there. For now though, peace of mind will do!

Nope it's definitely supposed to have a cap on! Once you remove the cap, a viewing hole. It doesn't have either!

Got it fitted today. As said, the Blaupunkt one fits perfectly under the passenger seat in the Trophy. It sounds amazing! It's way too loud so I turned the bass down in fact to make it 'just right'. I still need to mess about with the settings to get it perfect (killed my battery doing it...
