I know a few of the lads in the dCi circle have killed boxes at about 375ftlbs. A bloke in Portugal gas a forged 250 running stupid horsepower and still hasn't killed the box so not sure if he's done some trickery with it

I'm not too sure but there were a few different cam sprockets for the E7J and the D4F but some have a hole in them that will line up with the head that you can get a 6mm drillbit into quite nicely to lock the cam. Just check if yours has that too

Lock the crank before doing anything, for all you know the cam and crank could already be out a tooth mate. Then make sure the TDC mark on the cam lines up and then just whip the belt and tensioner off
D4F and E7J are nice and simple anyway with the SOHC
If you're taking the rad out then you will have plenty of room without messing with the alternator mate
Just check thecondition of the compressor and you may as well replace the pressure switch too because once you've gassed it up that's it 😂
If you send anything but PAG oil or gas through a compressor it won't last long at all. Clean everything out and you shouldn't have that horrible feeling in the back of your mind
Also, it's easier to take the alternator out, get the bracket out of the way and then whip the condenser out the top...

There's a torx on the front of the block you need to remove and then insert a locking pin in to lock the crank and then on the cam pulley there's a little notch that should line up with a little notch on the rocker cover/head in the 12 o'clock position
Yeah theyre not the best, someone has used Transit Connect 1.8 injectors but you need to run a piggyback ECU to control them. Not worth the effort tbh😂

The PK4 box is about 80kg with fluid, whereas a JC5 is about 40kg with fluid. My megane has a PK4 and lifting one of those onto a gearbox jack alone is enough to put me off 😂

Drain it from the bottom rad hose, take the top rad hose off and stick the hosepipe in the top of the rad, leave it running water through for 10 mins. Top the car up and stick the hoses back on and run it, then drop the water out the bottom rad hose and fill with coolant
