engine failed under warranty new engine was replaced under warranty so i think as far as thats concerned the failure is fixed, however its the workmanship thats now the issue.
not saw a solicitor yet, i dont even know what sort of costs would be involved with that?
so far we have the following...
legally yes im entitled to have it repaired, however arnold clark are physically unable to repair it properly in my eyes, they have atempted and failed massively. and they want attempt after attempt to put it right
RUK are not interested, they say its arnold clarks issue, they are just apparently trying to make sure it goes smoothly, yet they dont seem to be doing to well with that part!
well heres where we stand so far....
Renault UK are useless, not interested, love to ensure me how well trained their dealerships are and how reliable the cars are (not really relevent since ive had a MASSIVE failure and massive f**k up by useless dealerships, they love a curtisy call to make...
you wont pay 20k new though, granted mine was a pre reg non cup with cup pack, recaro and carbon dash and i paid just over 14k with 5 miles on the clock
when spending a decent amount of coin on a car, personally I wouldn't mind spending the cash to get the options I want, had I took a bog standard GT DCi id have saved about 5 grand over ordering the one I did with probably £2000 of options! but it was worth it to me!
I bought a pre reg 200 with delivery millage, suffered full engine failure and Renault uk are not interested because its "not brand new" and left me to deal with the dealership
an aggressive map shouldn't be chucking out loads of black smoke, its over fueling. get a high power map from a decent tuner and it should have a minimum increase in smoke if any!
they done a ph1 sport that some early dynamiques come up as on insurance databases for some reason, they should go under the proper dynamique model though rather than sport.
going back a few pages, keyless entry lets u open the car from about a meter away but it physically wont start the car unless your inside the car, it just brings up no card detected on the scree, I was playing about with it and even with the window down and my card about an inch outside the car...
if you've never done it before allow an hour just taking your time and doing it properly, access is pretty easy on it. if its not already had gearbox oil its worth doing that, you know what these boxes are like!
ive had some quick 172's but id be kidding myself if I said the 200 was slower! they are quick quick cars, my first engine wasn't quite as good as the 2nd one but obviously it had issues from day one, the current engine is a cracker. pitty Arnold clarks workman ship is terrible for the actual...
not really as when its spinning its wheels up its going to be suffering axel tramp rather than a smooth power curve which will be putting more shock though the box.
they arnt bad, regular oil changes, dont launch it, blip them on downshifts, dont rush them thru the gears and they arnt bad!
