Red ones are the quickest👀
Honestly I love mine, it's just precious owners have spent their money on stupid s**t rather than make it perfect. I have a tendency to make the mechanical s**t about a car perfect🤣
Where do I start!🤣🤣
Check swivels, they knock, clunk and squeak when turning. The standard turbos on these are w**k, check for fin damage and if it sounds like a police siren then walk away or drop the price £500. Window regulators are an issue, check all windows work, make sure it boosts...
Yeah but the stubs from the 1.6 bolt on to a 172 rear beam haha
Calipers and carriers are all the same and so are the discs. Its just the roll bar thickness is bigger in the 172. If you wanted the best get a 182 rear beam as the later ones have stiffener fins down under the spring pads
44 tooth iirc
The sensors on the 172 are different to non-sport ones. But if you get a 1.6 16v whole rear end then it should plug and play if you cross your fingers tight enough haha
Rear beam is the same as 172. Go to a breaker and pull the rear end out of a 1.6 16v later Clio with rear discs as the ABS sensors need to be different to work with the car, that will bolt straight on and then you can buy a whiteline rear arb too 👀 😂
Non sport are always 58mm holes
If you want to re-drill 182 shocks then use a straight edge and take your time getting it perfectly straight. Otherwise you'll have some camber on one side and none on the other 😂
Neither am I as I'm working
Surely there's a weekend where we're all free and can just go for a quick blast. This also gives @leeds2592 time to get his heap sorted and running. Do you want some new brakelines to get rid of them Goodwank lines? 😂
So when we actually going out for a drive then?
Most of our cars are now fixed so no excuses. I'll even drive mine and make my legs hurt if it means we can all stand in a pub carpark wanking over Clio's
I've got no PAS, you get quite a bit of arm pump and wrist ache after about 10 laps. Definitely worth it because the car feels direct and above 10mph the steering is pretty much assisted by sheer speed anyway
Change the discs and rub your pads on some emery paper or a smooth stone to flatten them out and take out any uneven spots before putting them back in. That way when bedding back in they're be sound
