the inlet ports on a 197 are huge compared to the 172 and 182, would be good to see if you would gain anything from bolting a 197 head on a earlyer bottom end, if it was possible that is??
dnt swap the subframes, you need to drill one hole in the clio one to accept the gtt front gearbox mount, remove the suspended clio rear mount and replace with a gtt item, threaded holes already in the subframe for that, done 3 now and the whole lot engine out gtt engine in and wiring adapted...

ure thinking in terms of bhp tho, where components are rated in ftlbs so in reality the gearbox isnt seeing 30-40% more torsional load its closer to only 20%
is it a 5 turbo or a gtt? if its a gtt, easiest was is engine straight up and out, disconect the drive shafts, undo the 3 engine mounts disconect downpipe and all pipes and wires. up and out in 30min, remove gearbox fit new clutch then reverse it all. 3hrs maximum
