I've never played Halo until now either. I had a few on the 360 but never got round to them. I was late to the xbox party too. Campaign seems good so far. Multiplayer, I haven't tried - can't find a game at the minute :(

I have never played a Far Cry game before, it does look fun though. MCC is good fun, I'm working through the campaign of the first game. 4.5k achievement points to get overall! Haven't tried the multiplayer yet though.

I have no car next week, until I can arrange to get it sorted - you know of any local mobile mechanics? Thankfully I have a weeks holiday the week after, but I'm assuming it'll be sorted by then!

Yeah, I've been working solid, and there is no space to do anything with my car, so rooting around in the dark wouldn't have worked for me!

Update to this. Member of CS in taking advice shocker... So I've cut the belt with a Stanley knife, as @Daniel suggested. Managed to get the thing out (nightmare with hands like mine!) and started the ignition - no knocking noise, so I'm hoping that it's okay, and just needs an Aux belt...

Sounds like a plan. The other half will be out of the house for 12 hours plus each day too, so I can relax with red wine and xbox in relative peace (as much peace as I can have with the impending second dog)
