Nice one mark.
I went out last night. My sleep patern is all over the place since she's been in hospital. Managed a small timelapse of the Milky way over Devils Kitchen/ Cwm Idwal in Snowdonia. I have a few shots to edit later.
Anyone using Adobe Lightroom and or Photoshop with this? CC preferably.
My Lightroom has been running really bad since the update (from LR6 to LR CC) running on 8.1 - Just want to check it'll be fine on 10 before I upgrade.
If in ever down that way I'm going to give you a shout. Looks awesome.
Mark, trial and error. Try clarity up, highlights up, blacks down a bit, contrast up a bit and depending on what your foreground is like, up the shadows. All depends on your software too. I'm not too sure with Elements...
Ah OK. Yeah must be quite a lot of light pollution then.
Best just trying a few settings. Maybe a couple of shots in the same spot, then up the iso, reduce shutter speed etc.
All depends on the sensor too so might be better with a 15 second exposure and iso of 1000.
Trial and error with night...
How come you kept your iso so low?
I'd change the iso to 1000+ and reduce the shutter speed to 15-20 seconds. You'd be amazed at the amount of stars you will capture with a higher iso. You shouldn't have any issues with noise if you stick under 3200.
What time did you shoot these too? I...
As wide as you can go, as low as you can go f/2.8 or lower ideally, 20-30 second exposures and a relatively high ISO. I shot a few at ISO 10,000 last night.
All depends how well the Sony handles the ISO. It's good to try them though.
Manual focus set to infinity (bring it back a touch) and...
Hopefully you will get some clear skies. You certainly have the locations!
Two more from last night.

Hopefully you will get some clear skies too!
Went out last minute to get the Perseids meteor shower. Managed a couple but they weren't that good. This came out OK though.

I know a few people that use the Samyang 14mm

That or the sigma 10-20 which would probably have more use for daytime etc and you can fit filters to it.
Or a couple of alternatives...
Yeah just find Lightroom 4 somewhere and then look on YouTube for the serial number. It doesn't phone in to check every time you use it so you don't need to worry about that.
As for the other images, it's good to keep some to see how they differ to your other edits. Maybe don't upload them all...
I like it Mark. You should keep the first edit on Flickr too. You can then go back and compare.
You can get Lightroom to run on a 32bit os on Windows if you find Lightroom 4, it's what I used to use on my old laptop. I'm still running Windows, just updated to 64bit now.
It's nice. I'd like to see either more detail in the city or a silhouette of it. The sky is superb. Are you using lightroom yet?if so, just up the shadow slider a tad and see why happens.
We had a similar sky the other night but I didn't go our for it and I regretted it 10 minutes later.
As for...
Nice that Scott.
Try some throw away hand warmers and rubber bands attached to the lens.
I usually start them when I leave the house so they are up to temp for when I start shooting. Never had a foggy lens since I tried them.
I usually pick up a few from a camping shop or a garage.
That the...
Very impressive, the level of detail is incredible, not what I expected to see when I opened the thread.
If I want to see 'special images' then I tend to look on 500px as I think the quality of photographer on there is superb compared to Flickr. You have to go through a lot of average images on...
Did you get any with the game? I got a scarecrow and Harley Quinn pack which I've downloaded but not played.
Think you can ply as batgirl too. I might get the season pass which says there will be 6 monthly updates.
I assume you have to start New Game+ to actually finish the trophies as some are in the Air Ships and some at Ace Chemicals which you can't get to after you've done that part of the story.
Sigma 10-20 f3.5-4 will do you well for crop.
What other lenses do you have? I've used a 50mm 1.8 to get the milky way, you just don't get much of it in (especially crop)
I've also got a Sigma 17-35 2.8-3.5 but would be about 25mm for a crop sensor.
I quite like that Matt. Not really into that type of photography myself but you have a nice set there.
Nipped to the beach last night to try and get a decent sunset (the night before was amazing but u couldn't be arsed moving). Fast moving clouds and the colour only lasted a couple of minutes...
I've got loads of the riddler stuff to do yet. Probably 180 things which will take some time.
Finished all of the other side stories though.
I'll probably install the Scarecrow and Harley this week and do those. I've been thinking about the Season pass too, might be decent.
I think it might be free to upgrade for one year from release of W10 if you are currently running 7/8.1 but if you tried upgrading one of those after a W10 has been out over a year then you would be charged.
That's the way I see it anyway.
So say W10 official release day is Aug 1st 2015, it...
It's free if you have updated from 7/8.1 for the remainder of the devices lifetime.

I'll update soon enough I think.
Good write up @C.J - I know a couple of people that use this range and they produce some fantastic photo's.
I like the fact that the camera is small and fairly lightweight (compared to FF bodies) which would make it a good choice for carrying round all day. I think if I ended up changing system...
There's one bloody checkpoint that I can't find.
It's in Miagani island but I don't know where. I've looked on some maps on Google and still can't find it so I can't do the last bit
Tried this again tonight. Changed the camera view for the car and done it first time!
I've only got riddler to catch now and one watchtower to find, one bomb to find, a few firemen and a few Road blocks to do. Oh, and Azrael which are a bit of a ballache.
I've got the Harley Quinn DLC and...
