Yeah I've got an old one with aperture select on it. Also the flash pulls in and out for different focal lengths. I've not used mine for anything important really, just to light up foregrounds while light painting. Maybe tracing /grease proof paper might work as a diffuser?

Try and get as much use of it before hand to check the settings. Bounce it off the ceiling /walls. Maybe get a diffuser too? Take lots of spare batteries.

55mm I think on my 55-250. Played around with various lenses and focal lengths. All depends what colours I can see through there.

It's good for most of the campaign. There are a couple of levels that feel rushed though.

They use the speaker in the control in Killzone Shadow fall when you pick up newspapers/journals. First time it happened I s**t myself!

There's nothing wrong with a kit lens for starting out with. Don't bother spending money on lenses before you've even taken a picture with it. Once you've decided what you want to be taking pictures of, then look at a more suitable lens imo.

It will be a decent enough camera for you to test the water with. Looking on eBay, the price seems about right too.
