Just got back from a bloody cold evening shooting some stars. Will be heading back here again though with some warmer clothes and my grad filter to cut the lights from below.
81 x 30 second exposures, stacked with starstax.

Well if its the same layout as my Samsung nexus, you open the device folder and it has music /pictures /videos etc and you just drop what you want where you want.
I thought you had to do everything through iTunes with any apple product? I've never used one so I don't know.
With android you just drop and drag folders like you would with any external drive and it works fine.
I'd go with the Nexus. Based solely on what you get for the price. My dad has...
As said previously, Dash clock widget will do what you require

What lens is it on? Doesn't look right IMO. The darkness in the center of the sky looks odd, doesn't look natural.
What filter was it too. Brand wise I mean? I've been looking at one for my 77mm thread sigma 10-20 lens and eBay have them ranging from £3.99 - £75 so there will be a massive...
Have a look for dash clock. You can customize it so you can have messages, email, clock, watsap, weather etc on your lock screen. You can they jump straight to the message from there.
Not sure on screen shot. Maybe lock and bottom volume button at same time? That's the way on my samsung nexus...
A guy in work was looking at them recently. I think he told me about deal that included £50 cash back and a Galaxy tab 2 (or whatever tablet they do). may have been through PC world, not 100% sure though.
Sounds like a good deal. He didn't go for it in the end though (didn't get any camera)
I...
I'd say the sigma. My most used lens now.
I'd like to have a week with a 30mm (not sure of there's a 35 for canon) as I've has a day with the 30mm sigma and really liked it.
Nice :)
They done something on the one show about it a month or so ago (when it was given the classification)
Looks a great place for star gazing. I'm sure Scott has had a few decent images from there too recently (or at least close by)
I've got to travel a good hour to get decent skies by me...
Nice that Luke. New ND? Had some cracking skies earlier but I couldn't be arsed to move of the sofa! Probably wont get anything good again for a while now! Have a good trip.
Well....
I've managed to get a steel bar from a local welding company so I need to finish making the track part. I've managed to get some bits to put the dolly together hopefully and I think I've got the motor sorted but am running it from a small 12v battery.
The lad from work who does a lot...
Good review there.
I really need to invest in a decent strap as I find myself holding the camera constantly with the strap wrapped around my wrist in case I drop it. Cant have it around my neck as its uncomfortable. Will see what the local shop has in stock and try some out.
If it was just a technical exercise then I'd be inclined to try again, somewhere where you have a bit more control, so maybe in your garden. At least then you could try with a tripod. Or maybe indoors where there will be nothing moving the subject, and then you will have more control of the...
All very soft. Could be due to the fact that they are all hand held. Invest in a tripod if you can.
I take it AF doesn't work when using an extension tube? If it does, then try using it.
Also, what settings were used?
Video looks really good. I assume it was pc footage though. Wonder what the difference will be between that, the current gen and next gen consoles. And how well will frost bite 3 work on the current gen?
I've been looking forward to seeing these properly as I spotted the thread the other day whilst on my phone and with really shitty internet.
Stunning pictures. Scenery looks amazing too and looks like you had some ace weather.
Its a cracking filter for the price. I've not had any issues with mine.
Also, I use an app (android) called ND filter calculator. Sounds like pretty much the same thing but they do work well.
That looks about right tbh. The Mrs has one and I think she paid around 400 for it a few years back. May be wrong though.
Can you trade it in (is there a decent camera shop there?) or do you want a sale and buy a 10-20 from online?
Might be worth putting it on eBay and just packaging it...
Stopped by the lighthouse again on way home last night. Not the best sky but did have some nice ripples in the sand. I also noticed that my tripod that I got free with a magazine subscription enabled me to put the camera on the lower part of the pole upside down so I could get really close to...
