Right then, breaker bar and torque wrench tomorrow then. I've just spent £40 quid on torx bits and car supplies today, looks like i'll be spending more tomorrow. lol At least they'll get some decent use in the coming years.

Britannia Tyres in Coventry when the new tyres went on in Jan/Feb. There have been so many little jobs that would have been so much easier if I didn't have to use brute strength with a conventional socket set.

So I tried to take the wheels off today so I can give them a thorough cleaning, but the Renault wheel brace couldn't cut it, it was bending so much it worried me, not to mention the fact that it's so short I can't get any decent leverage. I need some advice on what's the best thing to do the...

Tried to take the wheels off and failed, the little Renault tyre brace couldn't hack it. :dapprove: So to cheer myself up i'm spraying the interior door handles satin black.

I've been thinking about getting a dog kennel design with a Renault Diamond made up for mine, I might make some smoothed bullets with them, instead of just putting one on the boot.

Oh right, quality fail! :D I can see it's perspex at the edges, but the middle looks exposed to me, or is it so clean you can't actually tell it's there? ;)

Is there a way of getting a perspex engine cover made up? Seems a shame to hide it under the black one, or do you just leave it off anyway?

Sometimes the brakes don't fully release after the car's been sitting for a while, usually overnight, it's just the brake pads letting go. Happens on mine every now and again.

I might just hack saw the bolt off and zip tie the thing in place instead.

I'm clever me, with the word stuff n'that.

That would be my plan, whatever Mini I get it's having the 1275 engine dropped in. If there's one like that about they'll be more in the future. :approve:
