    Tutuur's F7rT'ed, Lowered Renault 9

That thing is cool, but the 172 wheels looked better imo.

    Your Guilty Pleasure.

I know what's not to love, the Mini is amazing so i'm kind of breaking the rules, as this is guilty pleasures as in cars that are a bit s**t but likeable. I guess if i'm being cruel I could say they're small and slow, but that's no reason to not like a car. Beetles suck arse!!!

    Your Guilty Pleasure.

A shiver just went up my spine, I had a Rover 414 that shape, head gasket blew up......twice!!! Part ex'd it for a nice Golf TDI, felt a bit guilty when I drove away from the garage, bloke probably scrapped it, there's no way anyone would have bought it......utter heap.

    Spraying/Sanding 'Clio' Badge

Right O, i'd best get on with it then. :D

    Spraying/Sanding 'Clio' Badge

So wet sand every layer, does that include the last layer of paint before the lacquer goes on?

    Spraying/Sanding 'Clio' Badge

Nice one, do I have to sand down every coat of spray? As in spray primer then rub down, second primer coat then rub down, colour then rub, second colour etc?

    Your Guilty Pleasure.

I'm not sure if this is a guilty pleasure seeing as it's a 'cool' car, but they're not to everyone's taste, a bit like an original VW beetle, some people love them, some hate them.....personally I hate beetles. I'd imagine alot of people feel the same about the Mini. So much want every time I...

    Spraying/Sanding 'Clio' Badge

I've read through alot of threads about spraying the diamonds/bullets/badges, so i've got an idea about how it's done, even though i've never done anything like this before, but the best way to learn anything is by doing. I've just removed the 'Clio' badge off the boot and i've got all the...

What have you done to your car today ???

Welcome to Clio ownership. ;) As long as it starts, drives and nothing falls off the thing, you're winning. lol

    possible 911 beater?

What about old ladies? I've destroyed loads of them on the roads, their Honda Jazz's can't cope with the F4R.

    possible 911 beater?

I've kept up with the odd Porsche Boxster driven by fat middle aged men that weren't trying, does that count as a Porsche beater? 911s on the other hand vanish into the distance regardless of what I do with the pedals, I overtook one on the motorway once, I was doing 75 and he was doing...

What have you done to your car today ???

Yep, as far as I know they're the only ones. You haven't got coins rattling around your car have you, maybe in the handbrake cover?

    Painted Diamond Badge covers

Plastidip's a tenner. :approve: It's just the fact that you can change the colour without having to be arsed with sanding, primer, paint & lacquer. I'm an incredibly lazy man and this appeals to me, although on my day off i'm off down Halfords to but all of the above, as I feel like doing...

    Painted Diamond Badge covers

Lol that's what I thought, but it actually says £9.99.

What have you done to your car today ???

Have you checked your exhaust brackets? Only thing I can think of off the top of my head that might rattle like keys/metal.

    Painted Diamond Badge covers

Not sure if this has been posted before, but I thought it was worth putting up. Seeing as painting a Diamond yourself takes about £30 quids worth of supplies, £10 quid is quite a cheap deal and if you don't like it you can just take it off...

What have you done to your car today ???

You want to sell it because it rattles? If it's a Clio i'd be worried if it didn't rattle. ;)
  19. DaveDreads

What have you done to your car today ???

Well I can for some reason, I press the button before I start the car and it stays on after i've fired it up. Maybe it's broken? lol

What have you done to your car today ???

I don't think i've ever had my esp on, I switch it off before I start the car every time, the last time I left it on was when there was snow on the ground, even then I only used it to pull on to the drive. The more you turn it off, the better your throttle control gets. ;)

    my car hates me

I can understand being attached to it, but there'll come a point where you're just pouring money into it when it may be more viable to just get another car. Saying that if my engine blew up, i'd want to drop another one into it as i'm quite attached my car aswell. :o Although if it was cheaper...

    my car hates me

If the cost of all the repairs is equal to a cheap replacement car, i'd cut my losses and move on. Depends on what kind of money you're looking at for repairs in relation to a replacement.

What have you done to your car today ???

Gave it a quick hose down and wiped the filth off the body and wheels, I also put 3 pieces of hose pipe in a little pyramid inside the exhaust bracket, to stop it hanging down too low, my original bodge fell out so I zip tied the buggers in this time.

    Your Guilty Pleasure.

I'd get one of these, if I had a better job I could afford one aswel as the Clio. :dapprove: Or if I had money to piss away i'd get one like this. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3634679.htm Or an Overfinch Defender. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3729194.htm Or one like this...

What have you done to your car today ???

I left it at home because it wouldn't start this morning, got back from work, took the battery out, put it on charge for about a minute as it was already fully charged. Put it back in the car, it turned over instantly.......Christ knows. :S

    Blackpool illuminations on start up.

When the car's running, it's perfect with no electrical problems, all of it problems in the past and present are on start up. :dapprove: I'll get a multimeter on it and see if the alternator's the problem, then go from there.

    Blackpool illuminations on start up.

The wipers are a little slower with just the ignition on and sometimes the windows are really slow, or do you mean when the headlight are on? I which case no, they work fine. The odd thing is, this is the car i've enjoyed the most, but also had the most problems with, it's like being married...

    Blackpool illuminations on start up.

Bit worried about driving it to work tomorrow now, i've got visions of going back to my car and it not starting. :( I'll try and get hold of a multimeter to check if the alternator's charging the battery, other than that i'll need a grease monkey to look at it. Bloody French, good...

    Blackpool illuminations on start up.

I've not a clue now, just put the battery back in and it fired up using both keys, I swear the cars pissed off with me because it's not been cleaned in a few months, I think the things haunted. Talking to myself FTW!!! ;)
