    Worst Modification?

LOL, I know they're considered modified cars Ch!ppen:rasp: but I was getting at the fact that I would consider them abortions.;)

    declaring mods

I took it to mean you can have a generic remap because on a NA engine you wont see more than around 10bhp, whereas cams, forged internals etc can be spotted by serial numbers. They said they judge power mods by taking the factory power output of the engine and just add the proposed power gains...

    declaring mods

I'm about to insure with, I was amazed when they said you can do what the f*ck you like to your car mate. As long as I don't exceed 180bhp I can do anything to it as long as I tell them.

    Insuring Modification???

I often see blokes with families driving people carriers with nice aftermarket wheels on, alot of people are clueless of the fact you have to declare them, anything happens insurance void. If it's a choice between giving you a pay out or keeping the money, all insurers will look for an excuse...

    Insuring Modification???

What's the point in paying £2k for basically no insurance? If someone pulls out on you and destroys your car, then takes the blame you won't get a pay out, god forbid you cause an accident and hurt or kill someone, you could do time for it. Am I right in thinking it's only really springs and...

    +10bhp

Yeah sorry, a bit of my evil escaped then. They're on a par with old Ford KAs for me, if your 17 years old the sheds section of PH is full of far better 1.2/1.4s, why drive around in a bubble fart?:S

    +10bhp

If I had to drive around in a Corsa like that i'd just have a rear winow sticker that said 'I'm a tasteless, penniless, no imagination c*ck' Old Corsas like that make me feel sick.

    Anyone used Khumo KU39?

TBH i'm running out of ideas for tyres in the £50 range in 195/45/16 I've searched online and rang loads of places and they've all told me that KU31s have been discontinued and replaced by KU39s. Has anyone used them or know anything about them? Yes i've done a search.

    Problems finding Khumo Ku31

I've found KU31s in 195/50/15 but I need 195/45/16. I'm looking to spend around £50 a corner give or take a few quid, anyone know of any decent places to get them? This is the only place i've found at a good price but they're out of stock.:(...

What to insure my 172 for.

I was thinking £3k, as i've insured it for £4k for the past 2 years but an 8 year old 172 isn't worth that much any more plus it's not a snarling rocket, just a fast road car with minor mods and £3k will get me the same car with similar mods. Rob said £2.8k, i'm thinking £3k, that sound about...

What to insure my 172 for.

I think you're probably right tbh, they have nose dived in price recently and there are nice modified examples for around £3k. I was shocked that people are asking £4k:S dreamers, you can get a nice 182 for that.

What to insure my 172 for.

This isn't a what's my car worth thread, i've got a fair idea what it would sell for. I am about to insure it with a modified car insurer and they've told me to insure it for what it's worth plus all the mods, in the event it gets written off I need to have enough of a pay out to create the...

New MOT Additions (ATTENTION: All with removed headlight washers!)

In reality i'd say aftermarket steering wheels will be a problem as the factory aitbag has been f*cked off, I wonder if that applies to curtain airbags in the seats? Anyone with aftermarket seats might have a problem. But f*ck knows, I bet even the MOT garages will have a hard time figuring...
