Car on stands, drain box oil, remove both shafts, disconnect ball joints, remove steering rack to subframe mounts, remove lower dogbone mount, remove subframe (4x bolts) you will need to get a ring spanner into the captive nuts as they will just spin. Support engine, remove battery/air box etc...

    Michelin pilot sport 5

Swapped from PS4 to PS5 on my Wife's motor, I thought the steering felt immediately sharper on turn in just at brisk road speeds! maybe a stiffer side wall? I've not driven the car hard to tell any difference other than that but will be swapping my 197 to them when the 4's are worn

    Power steering issue

yeah generally those ones will just read the engine ECU, and even then they can be a bit of a hit or a miss with what they read, usually handy for diagnosing and clearing basic stuff though, still a handy tool to have in the box!

What have you done to your car today ???

Sunroof has been leaking on my RSI, i had removed it, ran a nice tidy bead of sealant where the original seal was, didn't work so I've choose to just keep it out the rain for now :ROFLMAO: But now the one has started leaking on my daily smoker, this was not getting messed about with, full...

    Power steering issue

if the battery is confirmed good and no earth issues its likely the motor at fault, as above the rack has its own control module so get the codes read. EDIT: that above is assuming its a mk3 Clio which a 2008 could be either a mk2 or a mk3, if its a mk2 its likely the motor on its way out!

Mum's 0.9 TCe - Battery drain, weird issues

yeah so the issue I came across was, after dropping off a pupil my mum was jumping over to the drivers seat as she's tiny, just must have caught the stalk and flicked it onto full beam, not noticing as it was day time, get back to the house, into the driveway, stop, handbrake on, stop start...

    Paul’s Pearl

yeah they are definitely done! mine weren't even like that, I did fully fix my steering issues in the end, I had put a new rack on it but didn't know the rack needed calibrated!!! that transformed it and its been like a new car since

Mum's 0.9 TCe - Battery drain, weird issues

Must depend on the uch software, start engine, once the stop start stops the engine with headlights off, flick the stalk to full beam and open door, doesn't chime. I only found out about it after 2 flat batteries on my old dears motor!

Mum's 0.9 TCe - Battery drain, weird issues

Mum's 0.9 TCe - Battery drain, weird issues

sure she's not flicking the full beam on? this will cause them to stay on and drain the battery and very easy done!

Single knock when pulling away - Engine mount?

remove the top engine stabiliser and see if it disappears (you will have a bit more engine movement, but its still fully secure) I've had so many knocks and bangs come from this even when it looks new and doesn't appear to have any excess play.

Battery change now CD Multiplayer issues.

That's the electric mirror fuse, which also cuts power to the radio I believe, hence why your cd changer dies as its powered from there.

Clio MK3 1.5 dCi 106 - Need advice on clutch, flywheel & concentric slave cylinder change

the mk3 isn't a bad car to do a clutch on as you get plenty access when everything's off - the dci 106 6 speed is a fairly big box which makes doing it on your own on the deck a bit of a s**t job! For me, just use a recommended well regarded garage if your worried, ask them for a good quality...
