in my Haynes it says its on the left hand side of the cylinder head but i havent got a clue where to look, and does that mean left from the cockpit or left facing the engine from the front of the car ?

another thing which is important is how much mileage your car has done and its age, my RT, not being a performance car and 10 years old, wont have been designed as well as other cars, and certainly new models, so it needs a thicker oil so that the oil doesnt seep into places where it shouldnt...
the first number is its cold rating, the other is its hot rating, and they relate to how thick the oil is at certain temperatures
if ur car runs hot, like a 16v or willy, then id suggest a 50 rating, as they stay thick enough at high temps
do you have an engine bay shot ?
if the air box is placed at the front of the car and fairly away from the engine then get an induction kit as long as you can give it a proper cold air feed, otherwise get a replacement performance element
