Because they just work. Buy cheaper ones if you want - but don't come back when it starts playing up :) Plus you'll probably only ever buy them once while you own the car.

I used to spend a fortune on my gaming rig yonks ago - I remember forking out four figures so I could play Quake III Arena at 60fps and with a decent connection via ntl! I simply can't afford it any more, nor justify it - Wish I could. That's why I just have an xbox now really - it's never...

See for me it made it nicer to drive from cold and that's about it. I did it cheaply so I wasn't too arsed but feck spending any money on it - it's not worth it!
