The runners on the Clio seats arent flat on both sides. Cant remember which side it was now (think the gearbox side) but because of this I couldnt bolt frames on to them.
I used one side of the original seat runner and one side from a mk1 Clio (my seats came on mk1 Clio subframes/runners)...
£250 for the kits sounds like a good price. Where was that from?
The tapping noise could be the dephaser pulley, try searching on here. They're ~£160 from Renault, can be replaced when the cambelt is done
Do it all or dont bother tbh. The only things you can really remove keeping the seats in are the spare wheel and boot floor. Everything else will be obvious
My phase 1 needs a lambda too, been quoted £99 by Wests Renault so £135 fitted doesnt sound too bad.
My costs are similar to yours I think, mine was £1300. Has had cambelt + dephaser, tax, insurance and tyres. I have modded mine although most of the mods have been cheap.
The cable should have come with the head unit.
You need something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kenwood-ISO-Car-Stereo-Wiring-Harness-Adaptor-16-PIN-/370488688291?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Terminals_Cabling_ET&hash=item5642d8bea3
Nice to meet those that were there. Sorry I didnt hang around long but with my mate breaking down on arrival and me having a 90 minute drive home I wanted to head off.
KK doughnuts were awesome as always, queue was a bit silly though
