got a phonecall from RUK today, apparently they monitor forums etc and saw i wasnt happy, want to get it back into another dealership to start from scratch so i agreed and they said they would get Parks in East Kilbride to phone me and arrange to get it in for a few days, they will get me a...
should be no abnormal noise from the box.
kangaroo effect appears to be a "feature" of the car, mine does it too, maby im just a mong but i find it hard to pull away smoothly in first lol
RUK are now interested in getting it into another dealership so ill try and see if they will book ness for me and take it from there. i think my thread on the RS forum has kicked something off as they were on the phone first thing today leaving voice mails and txting me to call them back. so i...
i am genuinely surprized with the ammount of people with such conservative fastest speed driven on here.
nothing wrong with it, infact its probably a good thing, just shows some people value there licence/life/freedom more than others lol
i got a nice healthy 15bhp and 14lb/ft on a 172 going from standard (with a pannel filter) to matched inlets, 182 manifold, decat, k-tec stealth 2.5" torque was up throughout the full rev range, infact i beleive i was near enough 20lb/ft gained mid range. Would have been interesting to see the...
they are dropping the 3 door to save cash as its not cost effective to make both anymore, so no chance of making the RS 3 door, as they sell such a small ammount of them!
Re: Which model Clio do you prefere and why?
ive never had the pleasure/missfortune to drive a mk1, but ive spent the last 6 years in a mixture of mk2 and mk3's and got to say the mk2's were great in there day but the mk3 is in a different league.
200 feels like a proper performance car, 172's...
when you fit your HID's test your radio signal with the headlights on before you put everything back together, i got mine from HID's direct and had no radio signal when the lights were on, put up with it for a year as i couldnt be arsed changing them lol
what i mean is how terrible it is to drive a 1.2 to be achieving that 50mpg, i used to average about 35 in mine if i was lucky as it was that painfully slow to drive, and i had never driven anything quicker at the time! jumped into my dci65 and used to get an easy 60-65mpg every week just...
a lot of people seem to be missing the point.. it can have 10 doors for all i care, if it pulls it off and looks good who cares how many doors its got? If it looks pants then it can have 1,2,3,4,5 what ever doors, it looks pants!
I think the plus point is, its bassed on the current clio 3...
its done 5000 miles now, fitting the parts as the callipers are coming off to be stripped down and cleaned to make sure its got no sticking parts etc, so now that warranty isnt a concern as its not worth the paper its written on to me im having a minor upgrade of discs and pads while im at it...
its now booked into progrip larbert to be fully rectified at my expence, suspension and subframe off for re alignment, new discs, pads and fluid, a new pair of front tyres to correct the damage done by their alignment
see where it goes from there
dealership told me any further issues call renault uk get them to deal with it. but where does it go from there? back to another dealership?
RUK are not interested in the car, they think its arnold clarks problem due to them doing the work on it, RUK were only interested when the engine...
genuinely lost for words from what i heard today!
so as i said a few days back, dealership agreed on friday to try and get "renault technical" involved to get to the bottom of the problem since the garage couldnt find the cause.
got a call today saying the garage has been instructed by there...
45mpg across a full tank isnt that great though for something so slow! makes it tiring and horrible to drive!
get a good dci65 for 2k, higher miler for £1500-£2k, may be no faster than the 1.2 but is effortless to drive due to the torque and will do 65mpg over a tank without much trying!
they are rubbish on fuel and slow, un refined, noisey on the motorway, just generally horrible to drive.
dci65/80 any day of the week for the same/similar cash
