It's been taken off to a gearbox specialist today. Hopefully my AA breakdown and repair cover is going to cover the first £500 of the cost. They also say if the box has to come out they will change the clutch at the same time which isn't a bad thing... I should know more tomorrow once they have...

Hi all. Today I was just pulling out of a junction (gently) and heard a noise like when you don't quite have it in 1st so re-put it in first and had no drive:(. Pushed it to the side of the road and now when I put it in any gear and accelerate it makes a squeaking/grinding noise and no drive...

Sound like a poor excuse for not being able to do it to me... It'd be far better if the helmet moves imo.

Just plug an Ethernet cable in the back (from your router) and it should pick any updates. Latest one is a few months old now.

My tv is the pk590 also and IR is very minimal tbh. If its as bad as IR gets on a plasma these days then there is nothing to worry about... Input lag on game mode has been improved with recent firmware too.

I could put a post up in the NW section to gather interest but not 100% sure I could make that day. I should have a better idea after this weeked....

Problem is Plasma and LCD/LED's all have faults. It just depends which ones your incline to put up with. Plasma won it for me in the end... I think this will be the case until OLED sets hit mainstream although Plasma and LCD/LED have both come on a long way in recent years.

IR is almost none existent on my plasma and goes within 5-10 sec if I do get it. I also can't hear any buz unless I put mute on. As for burning you would have to be really trying to do it to burn a modern plasma.
