Nope im not and a genuine renault body shop was a bit less as i work for them, but im not paying as someone hit me and im having a few bits done on them
you got a mk2 ph2 by the looks of it pete i would say check the drain tubes push down on the roof along the egde of the sunroof frame if it opens to a gap then it the frame at fault
no went the car was at normal operating temp and you were driving it would be fine, if the car was left to idle/no throttle then the temp gauge would drop down bit by bit. checked the sensor using clip and that seemed fine, so i fitted a new thermostat and it seems to be fixed.
I just fitted a thermostat for the same kind of fault if the car was idleling when up to normal temperture the needle would drop down (temp sensor was woring correctly) went you give it a good rev the needle would go back up.
Nezza was it you that PM me the other day? sorry i dont think i replyed the code is proberly wrong if the code doesnt work, if it was replaced under warranty then it wont be on the system and you need the code off the side
there are little pin switches when you open you doors it opens the switch to bring on curisty lights etc its mounted just under the door catch on the b pillar on the body of the car and theres one on the boot left hand side on the plastic trim half way up
