    if you disconnected the battery when you changed the steering wheel then it will need to be reset using renault clip proberly about £30-40 labour.

    if it power steering, i bet it leaking buy the pump area you require a new power steering switch.

    could it be 5th gear come undone? i know they used to, the bolt that holds the cogs comes undone but cant remember what happens when this fault occurs
