    second hand dephaser

Yes but, if the second hand one fails, then it's a new belt job so gonna cost 600 quid with a new dephaser Luck of the draw though really. There could be nothing wrong with the 2nd hand one

    What could this mean?

There would be a decrease in performance surely if the compression was low enough that it rolled while in gear?

Is it wrong to want another 1*2??

Got rid of my 172 and bought my Mazda 3 MPS, which is runnin around 300bhp now. I'm currently returning it back to standard to sell and am tempted to buy a ph1 to cam/throttle body. I miss my 172 so much!! No one else understands what such a good car they are. So, no, it's not wrong to want...

Cambelt Replacement in Coventry or Warwickshire

They do have mileage and age limitations, 35k and two years i think?? Sam will correct me. Its a rubber belt the same as the cambelt, so it also deteriates and also needs changing. If it snaps it can wrap round the crankpully and fetch the timing belt off
  18. Ol’ Tarby

    172 cambelt snapped...how much?

The cambelt kit alone is 250 quid....

    Poor when cold

Yeah the CTS is on the thermastat housing. Try replacing that as its cheap enough and if its old, then itll soon need replacing anyway. I'd chuck a new stat in too at the same time. Also take the throttle body off and give it a good clean and then see how that leaves ya

Re: Anyone know why there's high pitch beeping sound when Iput my hear near the whee A whirring noise and a beeping noise are two completely different noises. Which one is it and where exactly is it coming from

Nurburgring 2011 - Picture & Write Up Thread

It's the best experience I've ever had and also recommend it to anyone who's not been. I also spent around 400 quid all in so it can be done 'cheaply.' although saying that, I did use the free redline vouchers for my laps. There's a little holiday home village just round the corner from the...

drilling out front disc torx screws

How? The drill should be spinning clockwise which would technically tighten the screw if it gripped. You must of been drilling a long time if you had the drill goin the opposite way!

  27. Ol’ Tarby

Just done the rstuner thing and....

This whole thing is probably nothing to do with the rstuner, nor which fuel ur using. It's an underlying problem elsewhere
