ive got T1-R's on the DCi, they are no eagle F1 but they are a good bit cheaper, considering they are priced as a budget tyre they are brilliant! on my 172 i used F1's religiously and i would still use them if i still had it.
how do you compair it to the VTR performance wise? i find my car is pretty much on par with standard VTS's and my mrs 1.6 16v isnt a million miles behind compaired to mine so i take it its a bit quicker than the VTR? bit less torquey than the wee 8v lump low down?
lol screw that a 172 will still average mid 20's when driven hard, even my old one wouldnt drop under 20mpg when driven hard., if i was driving something that got 20mpg id want something genuinely fast.
mate its a 110bhp car its not even a warm hatch!!! my 172 would average mid 30's when driven normally and i dont mean slow i just mean normally flowing with traffic, driven hard it would still get low 20's when really going for it
i got better mpg from the 172 than the 1.6 gets driven the...
my mrs has a minter 53 plate with climate, traction control, cruise control, electric everything, full cabasse setup with 6 disk changer
get the resonator off it and just put a straight feed to the battery tray area, sounds mental, stick a laguna F4R throttle body on it, decat and manifold...
id like an MS Design for it but like you said they never pop up!
its getting there slowly, yeah nice torquey wee thing
no mate ill try and get some though
yellow fogs are getting to me im not 100% on them, just dont know if i want to remove them or not, i think theres too much going on at...
dont get me wrong if i was going for a blast the 172 would be my car of choice but the thing about the dci is you still have genuine overtaking power and useable power from 30mph in 5th gear with no fuss like you have with the 172 when you need to use the full rev range (which is the attraction...
if you look closely it has a VERY subtle smaller plate that fits the recess and doesnt overhang the bumper like they do as standard.
if i can get an rs kit in pearl black ill go for it but not that fussed, it was supposed to be a runabout but its my only car now hence why its been getting some...
thats what i done then sold my 190bhp 172 and remaped the dci, granted its no where near as fast straight line but still massively capable and mega fun to drive with the sportlines on it, dont regret selling the 172!
mint i love my mapped 100, the 4th gear pull mid range is awesome!
i found at 30mph in 5th gear as standard it was borderline undrivable always used 4th as it wasnt smooth at all, now its fine and you can easily overtake in 5th gear.
and how many thousand JB1, JB3 and JC5 boxes have been changed on cars under 30k miles?! ive change loads of J Series renault boxes and never any others!
this will give you a bit more info http://www.popularmechanics.com/automotive/how_to/4212608.html
the plugs are 72k or 3 years i beleive?
happened to my mates 172 we got a local engineering place to helicoil it, only cost about £30 from memory!
lol i waited for this for months then gave up and sold the car so i could just buy something faster as i didnt want itbs or chargers im a standard ecu man!
