always rollin wi the xenons of course! u taught me well...
car its self was actually ok paint job looked pretty good, kit was at least fitted properly, exhaust didnt sound to bad, wheels looked ok just the rear clusters spoiled it and found the "Pink my ride" sticker a bit weird lol
just so you can see mate heres a pic with sportlines and cup splitter.
i know i really really should invest in a digital cammera been saying that since i was about 15!! lol but phone pics will need to do for now!
Back end sits a bit higher than the front which annoys me!
really a panel filter is a panel filter, ive got an ITG in my 172 and a K&N in my 1.2, small gain noticed on the 172 with ITG but really that would probably have been noticed with any panel filter!
mine made 83bhp on the rollers (+8bhp over standard, but we all know what R/R's are like)
it had....
Powerflow Cat Back Stainless System
Decat
K&N Pannel Filter
Modified Airbox to allow it to hold more air and suck in more air
Larger cold air feed
was fun while it lasted, dont regret...
the dealer that sold my car had to replace the centre section with a new one a week after i picked up the car, unfortunately its one of they cheap shite things that quickfit etc use and its bollox, the bends are much narrower than the standard renault system meaning its loosing power over...
newer 2004> engines have a different airbox, inlet manifold, throttle body, ECU and exhaust manifold to name a few bits!!
the inlet manifold is shorter meaning the engine has a bit more torque which is the difference low down that your feeling.
i found our old 2005 one was much better low...
bet it doesnt whistle like a turbo like my blowing piece of shite.....
need to get a new exhaust just cant decide what, sensible and get a k-tec stealth or get a yozza race system? lol
hi mate just noticed this, not sure cant remember haha my memorys as much use as a wire mesh cannor!
My Reg is SL03 SOC, but i do know of 2 other silver ones going about, although both look standard mine is lowered slightly and the other 2 gays never fancy a blast when you see them LOL mine is...
na i deffo cant see as well with me xenons as i used to be able to in my old car, and the full beam looks much much brighter than dipped beam on the 172 compaired to my old car, it wasnt that much brighter. saying that i did used to get flashed a lot with the 1.2 with people thinking i had my...
cup spoiler pack includes the bigger rear spoiler that flicks up and a small front splitter on the bottom of the front bumper (both can be fitted by yourself if not included)
the cup suspension pack came with dark anthracite wheels (opposed to silver wheels) and revised suspension (slightly...
The Sportlines are awesome mate handles so much better its much more planted than it was standard, i hated it to start with due to coming from a coilovered car so within 2 weeks i had sportlines on it.
whats involved when changing the headlights is it just a simple bulb change? if so where from n how much? lol because i hate the standard xenons, nothing compaired to my old uprated bulbs in my 1.2 i cant see a thing with them lol
dont put coilovers on it if your going to 2.0 it as u need new coilovers to run that engine! just stick springs on it and then 2.0 coilovers along with the hubs and brakes etc when you convert it.
dont bother with engine mods to start with sort out the brakes and suspension with something decent then id go for...
Cat back exhaust with decat
inlet match
pannel filter
then remap (do it last so it takes all your mods into account!)
underneath the car it connects the back of the gearbox to the subframe, you can see it when you look underneath.
it looks like this (well this is the full gearbox mount the bushes are the black rubber inserts you can see).......
i LOVE black dynamiques miss mine so much especially the coilovers!! mine was a good bit lower but was to low for the road really! skiped about over bumps when hammering it but still handled well on smooth roads.
RS grill will finish it off, never got round to one on mine!
vts's r great wee cars i was MEGA surprized when i saw 1 go for it the first time, i was only in my 1.2 tho haha the thing was flying round the bends and i was on coilovers at the time!! looked standard height too so think it was standard
my 1.2 used to pop flames when decated but nothing huge u had to have teh exhaust temp up pretty high and look up the tail pipes and u'd see it pop flames when reving!
lower it AT LEAST -60mm on springs and dampers, if your not changing the dampers then just got 30mm on Eibach Sportlines.
looks like its got 195/55/15 tyres on it, get 195/45/15 or atleast 195/50/15 on it and it'll look much better.
my 1.2 was down about 90mm on 15" wheels with a sub and amp in boot and was fine with 1 person in the back, had 3 in the back and 2 in the front one night and it was running on the bump stops the full way home lol
