cheers dude, yeah its a shame that its came to this really, you shouldnt need to jump up and down screaming and bad mouthing companys to get things like this sorted.
especially when i went into the dealership as soon as i originally picked the car up and said listen, that subframes on squint...
lol @ adam, are they deleting your comments?
someone post a reply on the pic i put on their page about watching the progress of it on the clio owners club, make them realise just how much im bad mouthing them! lol
goes into Parks on monday for them to attempt to put it right
anyone who has saw arnold clarks facebook will have saw my public rant towards them, they have taken my details and are apparently going to get back to me about that lol
not so much something in the engine more just the full engine its self lol! however i didnt blow it, it blew its self!! - not sorted yet goes back into another dealership on Monday, fingers crossed this time! not holding much hope though
you not saw my thead about 12 dealership visits, new engine, destroying tyres in 2000 miles, legal battle with arnold clark etc? lol
if its giving a flat spot im out!
renault spend all that cash giving the car 20% more torque under 3000rpm or what ever the figure was for people to change the...
generally the engines dont fail (LOL @ mine) its usually timing belt failures that kill them, looked after they should do over 200k no problem.
the rest of the car however...
id buy one in a heartbeat if i could get to the bottom of 2 things....
1. my cars a heap.
2. does the Akra give you a flat spot as all the others do? i dont mind if it does and can be mapped out but loosing low down torque is NOT an option!
unbolt the middle exhaust hanger(1bolt) from the car and the rear hanger (3 bolts)and that will let you lower the exhaust and then bolt it back so its sitting exactly where it was before if your worried about playing with adjustment. The flexi pipe will give you enough movement to get in at it.
as previously planned its now still going into parks as ive got a bit more "proof" to back up my case now so they cant just turn round and say they cant find a problem like arnold clark did!
drivers side inner edge...
passengers side...
i dont know the physical tech specs but i know for definate 172 cup dampers are uprated over normal 172 ones, and 182 ones are even more so (with difference bolt spacing remember)
but basically, trophy excluded, 182 cup ones are the best of the bunch.
182 used a thicker ARB from memory too
i used to run them on my mapped DCI100, were more than up to the job, didnt last very long i used to get 5k (hard miles) out a front set running a pretty aggressive front suspension/geometry setup.
wern't the grippiest in the wet but you could still drive more than quick enough to loose your...
na i change car every 12 months, im sorting it, get the summer out it then swap it for something else before new year unless it seriously impresses me and i keep it, but had that much stress with it i just cant see myself keeping it.
Its a shame the dealers are really that bad as i saw a white...
progrip has already said the alignment issue is easy to sort, hes already got it as close as he could without unbolting everything to get full movement. few hours unbolting all the mounting points etc and getting it all aligned and that will be that sorted, then i can test it and see if its...
needing a new pair of fronts for the 200, whats everyone running? just stick with the standard contis?
done 6000 miles on them so far and they are about 1k miles from the wear markers, what am i likely to get out a set of r888's?
im not sure i trust any dealers even ness (ive yet to use them only heard the good reviews) but i think at the end of the day no dealership has advanced enough wheel alignement equipment to be diagnosing the issue, so its a wasted time! Its booked into progrip to get rectified, should just have...
just takes a bit if getting used to compaired to a mk2, yes it feels less nimble but when you start to learn it you will realise how much extra grip you have available!
