air in the lines is normal, although 100's have very little for some reason? is this a 65 or 80 i take it?
looks however like yours has got LOADS of air! but its been a while since i watched the lines when one was running. any leaks at the fuel filter? has it been changed lately? when was the...
they dont come with a service book, only the section for stamps in the owners manual, however i complained with my old GT DCi that i didnt get a service book and they gave me one on its own like you used to get with clio 2's so chances are someone has possibly done the same
thats not bad, is that a non cup? be interesting to know what adding cup pack and recaros to that would bump it up to. think i might look into 2yr leasing on my cars from now on.
Re: Ultra Red 200 ordered. Pictures at the docks: Page 26. (LOL)
i take it new ones dont come with white recaros then just white rev counter? i didnt like the sound of the white anyway, yellow looks much better in the flesh than it does in pics, i love mine.
however watch your passengers, i...
Re: Ultra Red 200 ordered.
true story, tried the same scenario with engine 2 and its held up so dont know what happened with the first. New one feels much stronger mid range too and ran 202.3BHP with 2000 miles on it last week so think the first was a nail!
Re: Ultra Red 200 ordered.
its not actually an oil temperature guage apparently, no sender for it, it just works out rough oil temperature bassed on coolant temp someone mentioned on here.
my GT DCi pulled well after 20k miles of death from day one, my 200 let go of piston 3 at 147mph @ 2000...
ive had a few close calls with this, My GT DCi went in to get fixed under warranty after my dad managed to pull the door handle off the doorcard lol its far to close to the hinges
Re: Ultra Red 200 ordered.
apparently the best way to run it in is give it absolute death from day one as soon as its up to temperature.... so i heard. not 100% sure if its a good idea, infact im pretty f**king sure its not a good idea!!
warranty isnt worth it when it causes this much hastle, considering taking a week off work and ripping it apart, putting an F4RT in it and building it back together properly myself!! LOL!
they sure do, however im not sure arnolds customer services department are going to appreciate the letter im sending attached with the sales invoices of over £150,000 worth of cars we have bought from them for our family business in the last 10 years from this dealership which will now be being...
Update:
so a brief bit of a recap, Car goes in for new engine, full subframe removed to do this, car comes back pulling all over road, i choose to take it to suspension geometry specialist to have it rectified 100% at my cost as i take all my cars there and was planning a trip anway, puts car...
just get a 3 way splitter and split a vacum hose on the boost pipework going to one of the sensors, no idea the best way to run the hose to the guage on a mk3 as ive never had to run anything thru the bulkhead, ive used the bonnet release cable gromet on mk2's though.
yeah they are terrible, 172/182s arnt bad due to the 4th engine mount between the gearbox and subframe, dci100's dont need this due to the linkage being ontop of the box tho, their is no movement in the gearstick, if there is then a mount is on its way out!
just the basic stuff you would check on any normal car plus check to make sure it pulls up thru the revs on full throttle clean with no warning lights or loss of power.
should start to come on boost at 1500rpm then strong at 2000rpm and hold its power until 4500-5000rpm
