Yeah can buy r5/mk1 clio jacking points as some chap in Europe makes them.
No idea on the mk2, when my 182 went through on one just had a plate welded in to repair. Never Jack on them anyway
I unfortunately used everything from the 172 including full wiring loom. So just worked.
What's the spec of your build? What gearbox, what wiring looms and what dash etc.
Ai cable clutch
Best bet is try a reset of the ratchett on the pedal assembly.
Pop cable off box end, depress clutch pedal as far as it'll go, carefully pull cable back over box end and depress pedal to bottom again. Should hear mech click as takes up slack. If it doesn't depress again, then...
no worries, the Sportlines ride slightly better, but for the extra drop the H&R are fine and car sits better and imo corners better too, felt great at Cadwell on them
Only aftermarket I've heard bad things about are cooks, so much so I sold my first generation ones sharpish about 5 years ago, run H&R since then until recently changed to eibach again as I get bored
Cracking effort and so nice to see a project essentially finished in its first iteration and used immediately as intended. Hopefully with the brake issue sorted (no servo imo is always a terrible idea) your next event will be even more enjoyable.
Big doff of the cap to you both
I definitely wouldn't be fitting anything other than a Williams f7r engine to a Williams, you'll devalue the car hugely deviating from original. Best bet is hunt about on Williamsclio Facebook groups and see if anyone has anything available
I've never been a fan, honesty even as a proper clio owner unlike all you mk2+ tourists. But I own a set for my phase 2 16v as you have to have original wheels for every car you own (it is written) and I just use them for winter as cheap and no worries if they corrode, which they won't as made...
Yes, original engine, original gearbox and fairly certain original driveshafts.
And the engine has never been split either, original head gasket etc etc
