Been a long long time since I updated this one too, forgot how good the car looked over the years!lol!
Since the last update its had some more bits, again loads of wheel changes and just cranked the mileage, 163k now just over!
Added the new plate that came off one of the clio mk1 16v's I...
same as above, tried all sorts and now just change them every couple of years instead, started using the cheaper 20 quid none sport ones in the 1*2's as well, quality is basically the same and look nearly as good
those two were the reason I wanted a mk1 clio back in the day, that race was happening same year I came back from travelling and bought my first valver! :) @Martin_172
Tiny update, thought I'd treat her to a magic tree and try starting her again, first turn. So came back inside, watched telly and did my ironing, went back out, tried her again... First time again.
Seems a magic tree fixes immobiliser issues in old Renaults :-P
superb work, and it must be one of the most exciting things to know that once its done, you'll of built your own car, from scratch, truly deep doff of the cap to you sir!
hope you make the test.....in 3 days!!
cheers @Fantom i'll take those, you have pm, I can then decide which direction to take and for a tenner no loss really!

looking forward to sorting my new acquisition soon, love a phase 1.

plus I think some slight fading on the plastics is not the end of the world, provided the patina is there uniformly it'll be in keeping...
14-02-2017 - Test Fit 182 Manifold
Slightly late with this update, but got the 182 manifold onto the car today, she's a snug fit but once I refitted the subframe on its main mounts and got the dogbone mount back on she's there.
Then got a shot of how it lines up to the rest of the...
Cheers @182_steve
In actually enjoying what I'm hoping is going to be a simple, tinkering, project rather than the mk1 which is rather more full on!
Just lots of satisfying, simple little jobs for this one to get it back to factory!
Cheers guys, hopefully get her up to scratch over next few months.
It's had an intermittent starting fault, so today I stripped down the steering wheel cowling to have a look as it's an immobiliser fault
All the wiring looked fine so no concerns, and the key sensor for the immobiliser...
