    Mk3 Owners (no rs content)

Correct. I hate diesel too hence why i drive a fast petrol, because lets face it, no one wants to drive a gutless slow underpowered petrol engine in a heavy car. i can cruise along on a big wave of torque nice and cumfy getting massive mpg, then when i want something fun to drive i take out...

its the engine to go for! big meaty mid range on it, not quite as good as the mk2s on fuel, will average 50mpg driven quite hard, 6 speed box

    Mid-Range/Mid-Bass in the back?????

i done this a few years back too and it obviously wasnt as good but you get used to it, my mrs has a Cabasse setup in her 1.6 16v and its much better than the standard unit, id get one of them if your going standard

Ph1 and ph2 engine the same?

ph1 has bigger inlet valves and has a cable throttle body, id imagine you could use the fly by wire body on it but not sure if you would need the ph2 inlet manifold too, not sure if there is any other differences, but you can run them anyway i know a few doing it

    Engine Mods for a 1.5 Mk3?

i wouldnt bother fiddling to much with them, if it was mine id be looking at EGR removal and a remap, not sure how good the intercoolers are on the 85., if its easy enough to swap the 106 turbo id go for that but not sure if its more complicated being variable geometry as standard just with...

    1.2 TCE IN MK2

good idea id stick the turbo and manifold on your current engine assuming it fits and go about it that way rather than swaping engines, i bet the n/a engine would be fine!

    reliability

i know dude, im just saying all your mates with imprezas are telling you you will spend all your time fixing it, it will be more reliable than their cars! i know from first hand experiance as my mates all drive jap too!

    1.4 K4M More power?

supersprint make an exhaust manifold for it, this with a decat and exhaust system will give a small gain, pannel filter in your airbox, stick a ph1 airbox on it if theres room, biggest gain will come from a remap, but really as above wouldnt bother. could probably use a 1.6 16v K4M bottom end...

FAO Owners of Clio 1.5 DCI

my 100 used to do 60mpg daily when running 130bhp/190lb/ft, cant remember what that was to a tank but it wasnt much off what my old 65 was!! currently got a DCi 106, its no where near as good on fuel does 50mpg daily driving the same as i drove the 100!

na gearbox is sound, same gearbox used in all mk3 clio non RS cars just takes a few days to get used to, i much prefer it over the JB3 and JC5 used in the 65 and 80/172
