I would say full lock could easily create noise from any pulley as it loads the belt system up.
and I wouldn't even start the car again until the issue is sorted, if you take the cambelt out you wont be a happy bunny
same colour as wheels imo, I had my originals done (got spare set :) ) at same time as my wheels in BMW sparkling graphite grey.
so they are textured as well, have the embossed 2.0 16v on them

ai there's no way Mick would pull wool over anyone's eyes or cut corners, I've had two cars he's looked after for the previous owners and workmanship and components are exactly as you'd expect, genuine and honest, like the man ;)
give him a bell in the new year when diamond motors re-opens...
I would suspect a call to mick would be more appropriate at this point for him to look over the vehicle.
but as a general rule no I would not expect it to go that quickly at all, the dephaser is a none serviceable item, so in theory if looked after with regular oil changes etc it should last...
there cant be an issue with the discs or pads, they were fine on the 172 not 2 weeks ago, removed, put in dry storage, and haven't been used since until they went on the 182.
it could perhaps be fluid.
I think I will replace the slightly suspect caliper and obviously fluid at same time and see...
be careful now with the autolock function, if you unlock the car and only open the boot, do not leave your keys on the parcel shelf.
if you do and close the boot the car will of autolocked on a timeout and you'll be stuck.........not that its happened to me................ :o
I may try the thin metal shims, but tbh its not when they're hot, its all the time
no leaky nipples (ahem) and no visible fluid loss anywhere in the system, all joints look clean on abs unit and under the car etc.
fluid has been changed on schedule with stamps etc to prove by mick @ diamond I...
Tried to do a search but cant really come up with an answer, and I have a feeling that's because its going to be one of those hard to chase could be anything faults
however, the 182 brakes just don't feel very good, little bite to them, the car still stops still but they just don't 'feel' as...
I liked my janspeed one, that never sat right but was slightly raspier than the RS192. but both are nice a quiet
the yozza was a truly lovely bit of kit, sounded absolutely brilliant and beautifully made, but it was just a little too loud for me as the cars a daily runabout.
another vote for...
as above, you would have to but the unit (either new with licence, or second hand then buy a licence from fastchips) and then buy both maps as well. or the second hand unit may come with the map/maps you need
car didn't slip on the dyno did it, if you get wheelspin it can throw the numbers all over the place. and tbh I'd take it with a pinch of salt, if in the real world car feels good then its probably fine and just a duff result on that day. you can usually tell if the timings out when you drive it...
