Hi, my clutch on my 1.2 16V is about 3 times stiffer than my mums new 1.2 16V to press and the bite point is really really high, does this mean its on its way out and a new one will sort it or is it somthing to do with the clutch cable or somthing?

if i was to amp them would it be ok to mount the crossovers in the boot? i thought this would look pretty cool.

i got an insurance quote for £1,150 for a 1.6 16V Dynamique from norwich union, fully comp. with just me on the policy and the same quote but with my 1.2 16V instead was £1,050. i dont understand it...

im needing to get this done too in my drivers door thanks to a stupid fat b**ch getting in or out the passengers side of a MK4 Golf GTi and smacked it! they were just reversing out the space when i got to the car and i didnt notice untill i got home :@

no sorry that was just the buy the actual clutch and my mate whos a mechanic done it for me. renault take somthing stuid like £400 to supply and fit a 1.2 16V clutch i think.

for track use (the reason you painted them) then yeah it makes it stand out and they look ok, but make sure the speedlines are on for any driving on road LOL

K-Tec have one for £65. for my 1.2 16V it was £60+Vat from renault but i know the guy in parts and got it for £30+Vat

didnt have lexus lights did it? ive seen one going about with lexus lights and im sure it had clio sport stickers on it, i just seen it at the last minute in my wing mirror

i would just stick to your first plan, it looks pretty good with black on a blue car, what my mate is doing on his blue 206 is getting teh bumper and door strips done matt black, not sure how it will look though. ohh btw your car really suits those wheels.

Hi, anyone got the K-Tec relocation kit with a pipercross Induction kit on a 1.2 16V? whats your feedback on it? how does it sound? did you notice any gains or losses? anything else i should know? cheers

phone up Renault UK and moan, i think you get further with them than a local garage, ask them what they think.

cant help with your question sorry, but renault have always took a look at my car free even when it wasnt under warranty so you will be fine there. also if theres a problem then theyll fix it under warranty. im sure i read somewhere that 172s can be weird untill they are up to temperature...

spend £1,000 max on ice id say and then tune the engine with the change :D or ill buy a 172 and you pay my insurance for a year LOL

you dont drive a blue 172 do you? i was at mcdonalds about that time and saw one going into morrisons.

they unos are ment to be cheap as f**k to insure, my mate was trying to flog me one off that needed a bit of work. to be honest id rather have my 1.2 clio though, uno would have been a quality second/track car though but i just thought it would be too old and possibly unreliable for a first car...

id like to if possible get the tweeters behind the standard grills, also where have you guys hid your crossovers? is it possible to get them behind the speakers, behind the door cards?

mint that, does need colour coding but no point if your getting a 172 soon.

thing is with the 1.2 16V on a long straight road it feels fast, then you try to overtake someone on that same long straight and it doesnt feel quite as fast when you spend 10 secs in the other lane passing someone! :D but yeah it goes fast enough for you to loose your licence LOL

cheers mate, ill keep my eyes open. what about the fog lights, mine doesnt have them and id want them on the new bumper, they the same lights on both? looks like it to me. anyone know how to wire them up? i know i need a new steering wheel stalk thing with the fog light switch.

well a 1.6 16V is 110BHP anyway, so ur guaranteed that but with a custom map you might be talking about 115bhp, then when you ad your exhaust and air filter etc it all adds up. whats the 8Vs power standard?

looks rapid that, wish it didnt have the music though so i could turn it up loud to hear it properly!
