No, its easy for the Elise because its so simple inside! You simply flip the rack over and then re-route gearbox cables. All of the Motorsport cars were central seat original. I think the honest reason they did it was a marketing one. It gave the car a bit more of a race look, but you're right...

Mine is no where that bad, but it helps that its not a dark colour. When my dad had a black X3 it was shocking, as bad as the above photo over the whole car.

All modern BMWs are like this, in fact most modern cars period because of the way paint is now done... I've heard some people getting their cars sanded down by detailers to sort it out! Some people reject their cars too.

Awesome. What engine? Don't agree with this balls about preferring one to something like an M3 though. I'm not knocking the car in the slightest, but 99% of people still think you're just another chav driving a modified hot hatch. After a while most people grow up and prefer an all rounder.
