    type R is faster overall lets face it....172 cups or even a RS-1 might give it a run for it's money but all the other Mk2 clios are steaming turds in a straight line . IMHO

    I think you answered your own question there 197 bhp compared to maybe 170/175bhp....I never said it would be cost effective though.

    Type R engined clio of any shape would piss on a 172/182 from a great height plus it's miles more tuneable than the f4r.
