    Project CARS 2

It's awful. I'd rather feel like the car was constantly being driven on ice, than have these sudden and rapid drops in power - or some other affect of control being applied. Brilliant programming however - but if the newer cars behave anywhere like these, I'd be switching everything off. Was...

    Project CARS 2

If it's easy enough to replicate being on or off, I might report that as a bug - especially as we've both witnessed it. I hoping it's the same thing that screws up the Porsche 935 on the Oulton Island Circuit layout. On the hairpin bend, the car gets really confused. 2nd gear is too slow for...

Ah - great. As long it's something simple like that. At one point I thought the pedals might be acting up! I'll try it again with all assists off and see if the issue goes away.

Have you got small sized feet? I can’t be doing with the clutch pedal on the Logitech pedal set. It’s too close to the brake pedal for me. I’ve just unscrewed the clutch pedal plate itself, though I did debate about going for the full removal.

    Project CARS 2

Strange one earlier. I let my wife have a go at Oulton in a Camaro. So that she didn’t simply walk off after crashing quickly, I enabled the Authentic driving aids. Apart from being a weird all-or-nothing power delivery, there was a weird power drop coming out of Lodge Corner and into Deer...

Project Cars 2 Time Trial Challenge January 18

Might try that! I set the FF to ‘Immersive’ as well - it felt a little too much with the feedback. The Honda CTR I tried on the Ring with it set to Informative felt more relaxed. Loved the feel (or lack of) very briefly when you’re accelerating hard with a FWD car and go to change gear. Very...

Project Cars 2 Time Trial Challenge January 18

I'm waaaay off at the minute - 10 seconds of @McGherkin 's time. I know instantly what my issue is though - to do with braking. I'm either way too late, or far too early - especially at the end of the main straight and with that first left-hander. Reckon sub 1.30s would be achievable for me...

    Game of the year 2017

Lol - where did that year go?! Could have sworn it was early last year. Oh well, it was still a fail. [emoji3]

    Game of the year 2017

Please do! Unequivocally, Battlefield 1 for me. Liked the entire campaign. Hated, beyond hated the online part.

    Game of the year 2017

Still don't 'get' the appeal of this from the videos I've seen. As said, I'll have to try a demo before casting judgement. It just appears to be a camp & hide fest - emptying a few rounds out to a target and maybe dying, maybe living. On the face of it, it appears to be a very hollow FPS type...

    Rear damper bolt question

I must have just been lucky with my rear dampers. Done them twice on the driveway - the 2nd time was even easier with the 182 nose-down on the slope. Literally sprayed both bolts with WD, left them for five minutes or so and they slackened off without a crazy amount of effort.

Project Cars 2 Time Trial Challenge January 18

This is my setup folded up for the old G25. Easily slides into the storage cupboard under the stairs that everyone has. Folds out like a set of small step ladders, has a power-supply to plug in and the USB lead to the PC and that's it. Literally up and running in under a minute.

Caved in and bought it for the PC earlier. Will be having a bash of it this week, I reckon - maybe even get the chance to add my name to the bottom of the time trials thread!

    What’s this Nissan thing.

This is what I love about Jap cars (JDM in particular) - the bonkers, small volume units of specials that would slip by 99% of the buying public. Yes, it looks poor. Yes, you would probably get sneered at. But to those few people that would know - it would be a cool, and very rare car, to see.

    USB 3.0 internal card readers

A tricky one - Akasa are perhaps the biggest vendor of these. Startech do them, but they aren’t cheap. Though I guess if you use it a lot, that won’t matter? https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=35FCREADBU3

New daily - civic areodeck turbo

It is a cracking car this - so unpretentious, yet with plenty of grunt to out-drag a lot of much pricier metal. I actually liked the look and stance of it with the Turinis on!

Really feint hesitation/miss at light throttle

Just as a guess - could it be fuel pump related? Maybe the filter is clogged and then the power simply goes once the engine dies? When dead, the suction of the pump also dies, allowing any debris to fall away. You start the car up again and all is good - until the filter gets choked again? Pure...

    I.T people assemble

The most important thing you said there was in the last section. When I started doing my CCNA, I did it to complement my role at the time. Did I like it? Not particularly - and as such I found it to be a bit of a chore. When you love the task at hand, you absorb the information so much more...

Assetto Corsa.... Where the hell are you guys, you're missing out!

Strange - maybe it’s me making it more complex than it needs to be! The default G25 profile is called 900 - which I presume relates to the number of degrees of rotation. That just seems way too much - yet I’ve gone too far the other way and it’s far too sensitive.

    What Remains of Edith Finch

I get around that by running a long CAT5 from the PC to the router - but then that kind of defeats the point of having powerline adapters in the first place. [emoji1]

Assetto Corsa.... Where the hell are you guys, you're missing out!

Good stuff. Do you alter the turning rate for the wheel or simply leave it as the default? I might have a look on the community page on Steam if someone has uploaded a saved settings file for the G25?

    What Remains of Edith Finch

I quite like it. Struggles a bit with the ‘beautiful’ setting on playback over powerline adapters, but for the most part, it does work well.

    What Remains of Edith Finch

This is..... different. I don’t know what to make of it yet as I’ve never ‘played’ a game like it. Certainly unique. Excellently presented too.

Assetto Corsa.... Where the hell are you guys, you're missing out!

Might be worth investing in one of these - or seeing if they come up on eBay? http://www.gteye.com.au/product/gteye-progressive-brake-spring-for-g25-g27 I bought the full set for my G25 pedals and braking within Assetto is pretty straight forward now. I can shave off that excess speed going...
