Cheers Sharky. The whole situation just needed a bit more honesty. It's all water under the bridge now though
Anyway, yeah I've stuck with it and pushing to get it all sorted. GL to you :D
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
lol - see group buy section under Mr Ph-reebone's thread. They're still honouring the group buy pricing
I'm planning on posting the full write up in one swing to keep it tidy in the next two weeks. Here is as pic as it came,
Half cage (at least for the time...
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
Back on topic of my s**t-box. Just finished bolting in the Cage I purchased last month from Caged - still can't get over the quality, some amazing welding and powder coating
without opening up the k-tec hate gates again, they did say to me they didn't have time to do a compression test after I had mesh down the cylinder. lol
159 atf? Nice write up and piccys as always. A lot of filters do fake like this btw, even the bigger dome ones. Shame about your compression issues..Matt tells you how it is! You're in good hands.
I have an engine ready for BTM to fit and TDF to re-map after going down a similar road to...
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
LOL lean welsh meat. What's he got now btw? Didn't know he sold his black bus till I saw Sir_Dave had bought it.
But yeah, car won't be seeing forged internals. It's just not worth the hassle
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
Well you say that but I think 428s and itbs is a nice place to be in the Clio mate. I don't really fancy forking out for internals..saying that, I don't know if Fred has had a chance to check the bottom end in my replacement yet. lol
As long as it's fine as is...
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
which part, the part where I need a new lump put in or the part which is costing me an arm and a leg in materials lol? I'm amazed I've gotten as far as I have with it to be honest. I'd of normally given up by now :D
If it's a track car, buy them. Not only do they last a damn sight longer but they make the car feel a lot more responsive due to the lack of movement in the bay. A lot of people moan about the excessive cabin vibration but that is either where they're not settled in or not fitted correctly.

Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
ALSO I've landed some free tuition in exchange for a few laps at Brand from an ex Porsche cup race driver for a few days for when the cars ready, so that's more good which has come out of it \o/
something that needs to be done at least once, and definitely in the Clio! Great insight into the what not to bring and what not to do!
Although why anyone would take advise from a bunch of blokes who nosh each other off, roll about on the floor take a memorable photo of it I don't know. ;)
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
I'll be doing a break down of materials for how much this grand idea of mine has cost me so far. It's scary s**t..but it's been worth it lol
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
nothing super flash mate. Mines suffered a wee accident and has some cylinder damage so sourced a replacement to swap it out with. Same setup as before, 428s and Jenveys
