To break yourself in gently, if I was you I would buy...
1) shampoo. There's loads to choose from!
2) Some non acidic wheel cleaner.
2) tar and adhesive remover.
3) Autoglym super resin polish
4) some glass cleaner
5) Some tyre shine.
Wash the car with the shampoo and a good...
You need a can of satin black paint and run it along your sill. It's been recently painted at the back and it still dirty and brown at the front.

The exhaust is sat a bit low at the minute as it's not bolted up properly. It's a taste thing, I personally love it.
Let's not forget, this is not a road car and never will be.
Yeah it starts and runs but the ECU was mapped for a mk1 1.8 turbo so it's over fuelling like a b**ch. I've got a video of smoke bangs and flames but I've no idea how to upload it to here.
Check the oil, check the water, check all your lights fill up with fuel and go.
If the car needs brakes, servicing, etc etc before you go, just do it in schedule with the last service.

If I wasn't looking for a job I'd jump on it as a van conversion. Someone's done all the hard work and spent all the big outlay. The bonus of no creaky leaky sunroof is the icing on the cake!
