Just drove to brothers. On the way, iPod jumped so I pulled the parrot screen off the stand, put it back on and was fine. A bit further on the drive, nothing was playing, iPod wasn't working, and if I selected iPod on parrot again, it just kept saying "connecting iPod". I turned car off and on...

Doesn't work mate.. No sound from the stereo...

I will pretty much have the bluetooth on my phone off all the time, and only have it on when I'm going on long trips, so I pretty much want the stereo to be number 1, and the parrot a little as and when bit on the side if that makes sense.

Say I put a CD on through the stereo.. You can see the CD is playing, and the sound on the stereo is turned up to say 20 (Max=30). The sound on the Parrot is also on about half its top volume. No sound at all coming from the radio. If I make a phone call, or play the iPod through the parrot...

I've just deleted all music from my iPhone (there was only 3 songs on there!) Now, I just want to be able to control through my head unit as well.. CD and radio and also iPod if I choose to put the iPod on through the stereo face USB and not the Parrots USB. Urgh.

Okay. Risked it. And it worked. Parrot now says goodbye. No sound from stereo still tho. (Cd/radio) Also, every time I unlock my phone it try's to play music through the phone as opposed to the ipod that's cabled in. And whenever I type, all music stops and you just hear the phone type click.

I have no more "spaces" for other blocks to be connected mate. Also, it's not saying "goodbye" when I turn ignition off, just turning straight off. What was the fix for that? Appreciated.

Ok, managed to get it all up and working, just need to tuck the wires and that away. One thing though, Radio & CD on my Sony Xplod stereo won't play sound anymore? And the Parrot kit has no "radio" or "cd" option for me to be able to control it through there. Is there any way I can use both...

The male on my parrot look doesn't fit into the back of my stereo? Sony xplod!

Ah, fair mate. I just thought the wiring process takes a good couple of hours. Don't want to do that and then find out it's f**ked. I don't think it is, but it's from Gumtree so would rather double check.

But isn't it a bit stupid to wire it to the cigarette lighter to test it works, just in case it doesn't?

Yes mate, it's 12V. I was under the misconception that you would wire the kit up to the cigarette lighter or something similar, and not straight off the battery? Isnt it a bit awkward to wire something to the cigarette lighter just to test it's working?

Where can it get its power from just to test it all out?

Does anyone know how to wire these up, and are free at the weekend? Could pay etc. Based in Windsor. I have absolutely no idea. I suppose there is always trial & error but that isn't normally a good thing to test when playing with electricity. Anyone used their kits before, any good?

I remember hanging with iOS5 and Google Maps ending up not connecting to any servers, so it either ended or it was my phone itself messing about.

They were using Google maps previously until they wanted to rely more on their own software and added their own version of maps to iOS6. If you were still running iOS5 (With Google Maps).. the map system wouldn't work anymore. If I remember correctly.

Maps was one of them, wasn't it? Also, if you back up via Cable I'm sure it is compulsory to update FW at the same time.

They've forced updates before AFAIK, some functions stop working until you update etc.

Would be okay if upgrading to this look/design was optional. I'd opt out. I don't think they should "make" people change because as of now.. iOS has always looked relatively similar in all releases and could be a big selling point when people bought the phone. How about you go out, buy a nice...

Not sure on the difference but my halfords touch up kit says 24 hours between primer and paint etc. Maybe leave it longer mate?
