check plugs are nice and tight too. Dephaser normally starts making tickerty doom noises once warm. It won't be lifters though. Generally they all sound a bit dogish from cold

Depends what your definition of SHED is really. Is it just old cars in general or clapped out cars? See a shed to me, is any car which has had a rough life and looks and drives like hell. Could be 2 years old could be 18.

Group N is a massively overused term in the Clio market lol. If you're on OEM management they will almost definitely be 428s. 421s are a harsher cam which require uprated valve springs and after-market ECU. Any harsher and you're talking angry territory
428s generally take a fair amount low...

Speaking honestly, the best chassis is the Mk1 without a shadow of a doubt. It's light as f**k and you really can tell it. Even throwing the 1.4 RT around it's a blast. Sticking to the OP, though, it's mk2 PH1 all the way
