Hello, the car I have is a 2001 Renault Clio Alize. I fitted an aftermarket head unit and since then, nothing appears on the "clock screen" apart from the time. Im aware its being displayed through the headunit now, but looking closely, I'm guessing it should tell you the temperature also...

Fitted a new headunit, got the adapter for the Aerial to work, now which cable do I need to get the steering wheel controls to work on a 2001 Alize? All these silly questions, but I'm learning also, hah. Thanks a lot in advance.

If you weren't looking at my 1.4 16 Clio, you'd think a Ferrari is approaching you. No holes in the exhaust, so I'm assuming some baffles have come loose. Sounds pretty sweet if I'm honest, however, it won't do any internal damage will it?

Yeah, just add a switch to the live wire. I've got mine on connectors, so I can just "unplug" it whenever I feel I need to etc. Maybe a better option. That way you can remove/change the strips without having to rewire the whole lot.

I wasn't in the know, I just fiddled and worked it out. Take the ashtray out, pop the central locking button out, find out which wire in the central locking unit is live, and which is earth. Slice a little bit of wire off each (but not the whole way through) and attach the LED's, remembering...

So were mine. Blue = Live. Clear = Earth. Blue > Blue. Clear > Grey.

Your LED strips, what colour(s) are the two wires on them? Also, what year, and model clio do you have? I removed the ashtray, pulled out the central locking button, and wired it to the underside of that. Grey was earth, and blue (I think) was live.

I'd say its the variable speed sensor.

Just been on the phone to a mod shop, apparantly you can only change the dial cluster colours, not the heating control etc colours as they are reunaly only bulbs and come as the same bog standard colour.
