the wee sport badges look the same as 172 cup ones from a difference i remember laughing at guys sticking 172 cup badges on their brand new 1.2's untill i saw them in the showroom with them lol anyway dynamique is in the sports range so nothing wrong with it, not that id bother doing it...

get the 138 and with the money you save a set of coilovers and wilder cams! to bring it up to power!

i like the 138, needs coilovers tho to sort it out think i read somewhere its got the same ammount of torque as a 172? just down on power? pretty piss poor bhp for a 2.0 16v tho, id expect arround 150bhp from it.

no its not to do with what it looks like its just the F4R engine wasnt avalible in the dynamique model range so they dont have anything to go by when it comes to taxing the car so it stays the same.

newer style 2004> engines sound very nice with an induction kit, older style one sounds ok but not as good. you wont notice a difference in performance, maby a slight difference to the engine response but likely nothing, the noise will make you think you do tho lol K-Tec relocated induction...

jon_16v (think thats his username) only pays 1.2 tax on his 2.0 hybrid because that engine wasnt used in that model of car so it doesnt have a tax band or something i remember reading that here a couple of months back

does matts conversion kit come with standard suspension? thinking of going for one now instead of a 1600 but cant afford a set of 172 coilovers yet! whats required to use a 182 manifold on it? so am i right in thinking i could go for a full fat engine + box with a cup alternator bracket...

Gibson172 has a kinda squeek/grind noise coming from the cambelt side of the engine my mechanic mate had a look and recon'd it was a cambelt pully (think that was what he said it was?) sound possible? so whats needed in parts to do the job? just a cambelt kit? does this inc the aux belt...

i found filling the gearbox with oil harder than changing the gearbox and clutch lol cheers for all the suggestions guys ill keep them in mind :)

motorsport world do powerflow now and they are very good at exhausts, mine is perfect

yep and deffo worth while for the small extra it costs, engine flush isnt needed eather, as long as the engines warm it will be ok

i dont think i could drive one lol i find 172 clutches heavy!

Whats the best engine oil and the best gearbox oil to use in a 1.6 16v was thinking about this royal purple stuff (think that was what it was called) but cant find it anywhere to see just how expensive it is! i can get a good discount on millars motorsport oil too? any ideas cheers

needing some part numbers and prices engine is a 1.6 16v k4m cambelt kit (does this inc tensioners etc?) (does the waterpump need done like the 1.2s on this engine too at cambelt time?) Clutch kitcheers, martin
