quite a few manufacturers do this.
Sony Vaio for instance require you to send the laptop back to them and don't allow retailers to service them.
So after the DOA period (think its 2 weeks) it HAS to go back to Sony. Now you may say your contract is with the retailer and for this reason the...
yey, we are on that list, looks like a list of LAR's to me, Bytes, we are not fans, a few of our staff have moved there and not played by the book shall we say!
I'm not licensing expert any more, I have my MLSE (MS licensing Sales expert) but really don't dabble any more but our licensing guys...
if you are a system builder then you won't be just buying it loose from distribution though, the likes of HP etc. don't buy oem licenses like that (admittedly they are on a larger scale) but the software HAS to be purchased from the reseller or distributor or manufacturer installed on a fully...
they coming around to watch a film? ;)
FAST mate ;)
Oh and they aren't even a legal body, they are just out to make money out of you buy selling you software asset management, but get you by saying they are auditing you for licensing breach etc.
Can't remember the other body, but they are the...
in the police sense it is not illegal but in the software licensing sense it is, as its against the licensing agreement put in place when the license is sold so its not valid.
You can be audited and fined for this, which is what i meant by illegal.
AFAIK most manufacturers are now doing it, i'm sure i read ibm were too.
Its no dirty trick LOL, its the only way to provide OEM legally these days unless you are dell and sell the license with the machine as its built to order.
What confuses me is that machines that come with office 2007...
dabs can't legally sell it either without it being installed on the server before it leaves them and they are also then bound to supporting the OS on behalf of MS.
Its a very grey subject and something people always confuse and MS are doing all they can to prevent OEM from being sold...
you can't legally sell it, a COA means nothing really though.
some dodgy person will probably buy it off you though even though its worth nothing as its not legal.
thanks, was in the second tier up so not right at the front but a great view, like i said, i could crop them to make them even better but 200 is a big number to sit down and crop before i upload!
my brother was watching it on tv and apparently schumacher was arguing over which colour he should go in, i'm guessing he thought the red one faster and since he had the yellow in the first round he wanted to go in the red for the third.
I think they should have used the astons for the final round.
thanks mate, was my favourite part of the event too, seeing schumacher not take something seriously and have a laugh was excellent!
I love the look of those puntos too, mean looking!

i loved the sound of the astons!
I was on the half way line, the second tier up which was club wembley, fortunately I got my ticket free, think it was £100 as i was entertaining clients. The seats were padded which was cool but it was bloody cold!
to get the MCSE+Messaging you need one more mate which is better again, just need 285!
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcse/messaging/windowsserver2003.mspx
I did the MCSE with 299 as my option and 620 (vista) instead of XP
i was going to do messaging but have decided to wait until the 2007 version is out as my company is going 2007 so i didn't see the point it learning the 2003 first and then having to do the 2007 afterwards.
I've heard the messaging part isn't that bad compared to the rest of it?
